    Designed this simple but meaningful piece this morning......Jesus bearing the weight of the cross on the way to the crucifixion's...cut from standard pine.....stained early American & red mahogany....2 coats of gloss RO lacquer......comments always welcomed God Bless

    Spent a couple hours this morning designing my version of "The Tomb", with the 3 crosses of Calvary, made from 3/4" standard pine, just free-handed the pieces on some thin boards for templates, then traced the templates to the pines boards, then cut each piece out, then took each piece to the spindle sander and contoured the edge of each piece to give a carved look, stained red mahogany and early American, glued all 4 layers together to make it 3" thick and stand very solid.......comments always welcomed. This was a gift for my mom for Easter this year.

    Playing around with colors I had on hand this morning, deciding what to do with it.....maybe a spring/summer time door hanger.....bird is 9"T.......give me your ideas

    I was asked to make a step stool from someone, this is the shaker style they sent me a picture of, so I designed some templates (Inkscape) of the pieces for repeatability , then cut the pieces out of one 1x12 pine, pretty pleased the way it turned out, plan on staining it red mahogany.     The true meaning of Christmas....I made the figurine set a few years ago(Steve Good Pattern), but never had a nativity barn to go with it, so I went to the scrap wood pile and came up with this, all made from scrap wood except roof made from 1/8" ply. Sorry I haven't been scroll sawing much.

    I just used Howards Feed 'n Wax over the stain from yesterday.....waiting to wipe it off now....1st time using it, had pretty good reviews

    Farmhouse Queen Headboard is ready for some sanding & stain (Golden Pecan).....ran all boards through the planner to give a more smooth finish to eliminate a lot of sanding.....took my time at HD picking the boards out this morning. It's quite heavy, I'm pleased so far. it's not for me, it's for a friend that asked me to build it for them....have right at $65 in it. Gonna try a beeswax & orange oil for sealing it.....have never done a beeswax finish before.
