    I have and use the P-20 every day. With the wear shown it's a great deal. I believe the saw weighs in at 125 lbs. If I lived closer I'd pick it up as a second saw. I've had mine for about 10 years with almost no issues. You just have to put some Loctite on a few nuts and keep it oiled. You can top or bottom feed the blade. The quick clamps are great.

    The birdhouse is for my wife. She loves bluebirds. The display stand is still in work. The fox will go to the park's nature center. They have an activity room for kids.

    Well, here are the first ones I've every done. I'm still learning. The left one is Australian Eucalyptus and the right is poplar. I had no #7 blades so I tried a #5 Polar (cut ok but slow) and a #5 MG. Both cut smooth but the MG was a little easier to control and faster. I dropped then in blo mix. These are Diana Thompson patterns. Thanks to Denny for helping me locate the patterns. I'll put out some bird feed this weekend and see it I can attract a few birds.

    I love the colors. Excellent! You could do so much with this idea. Use it as an Advent calendar, count down days to Christmas, the 12 days of Christmas theme, and the list goes on.

    Depending on the direction of tilt on your saw, if you cut one direction the top layer will slide into the bottom piece. If you cut the opposite direction the bottom piece will slide into the top piece. It's always good to mark the pattern as to which direction you want to cut. Practice on some scraps first.

    Denny, I've gotta try some bird houses. I've done some compound ornaments that didn't come out so well, but that was before I fixed my saw. Maybe tonight.

    I started cutting 1/2" BB ply with an FDUR #5. It was like driving a Chevette. Blah! I switched to a Polar #5 and wowzer! More like a Mustang GT 5.0. More tear out on the back but that I can live with on this project.

    Great piece! Do you have the complete set? Please show us when finished. I would glue first as I'm not sure how well the glue would adhere to the finish.

    Good luck! Hopefully it's worth it. I've done rotating shifts and 12-hour shifts but not both at the same time. Hopefully you get long weekends.

    These are very easy and fun to make. I used 1/8" BB ply stack cut 4 at a time. They slide together and can be stored flat. I used General Finishes green dye and no clear over it. One thing about water based dyes is to clean around the rim very thoroughly before storing. I had a dickens of a time getting the lid off because of the rust. I have transfered the remaining finish to a Mason jar.

    Like Len has mentioned, a reverse blade helps reduce the chipping. Also, a zero-clearance table insert may help. If the letters are small enough you could drill a small hole on a piece of 1/8" ply, make sure it's big enough to fit you letter, thread the blade through the hole to center it, then tape the board to the table. That should offer more support without sacrificing too much wood.

    Yes indeed. The first set was 4 but the blade wore quicker. After that I did 3 and it worked out to about 10 minutes per ornament.
