  1. Dan, I stack 10 at a time. It takes 10 minutes to cut and about another ten to sand. Marg, I'll start trapping them and send them to you. I haven't dreamed about them...yet. Maybe that's my problem.
  2. Jim, I think this is what they are talking about.
  3. The veneer is too thin. DAMHIK! I had thought about using 1/64" plywood and veneering it but then the expense goes up and I don't want to change my price.
  4. The first 60 are done. 1/32" Baltic birch ply, stained cherry, cut, and sanded. I had to order more plywood and it should be here tomorrow so I know where I'll be for a few days.

Nice work. My dad owned two of them. I was too young to drive it though.
  6. These rodents are my second biggest pest (moles being number 1). They steal the bird seed and seem to taunt me at times. OK, they are sort of cute. I just go an order for 190 bookmarks...all squirrels. I've sold more sqirrel bookmarks than anything else. No complaints thought, as they are easy to cut and allow me to buy more tools. And, they are sort of cute.
  7. Tell Ray at Seyco there is a need for a 48" saw and you would be willing to test drive it for quality control. I think you could get it done on your yellow saw.
  8. Very nice. Nice even curves, no fuzzies, and I don't see any burn marks. I can't wait to see more of your work.
  9. Great job Jim! The gray and the grain work perfect here.
  10. Yes, that will be the most unique return. Nice job!
  11. Mark, you did a fantastic job on that! Just the right amount of detail. Thanks for showing it.
  12. Painters tape on top, unless stack cutting then I wrap the whole thing...top, bottom, and sides.
  13. I really like that one. Very appealing.
  14. Nice looking dragon. When you make them rich in quality people will pay what they are worth. And Dan, you will never slay the dragon.
  15. You got my vote, too. Good luck!
  16. It looks great! I love Charles' patterns.
  17. They are all done very well. Great job!
  18. Hi Russell. I prefer red. It's easiest for mee to see. The red that you shoe above is a little pale and may also be hard to see. Just my $0.02.
  19. That came out real nice.
  20. Nice work Larry! I love the look of maple. How thick is it?
  21. Thanks everyone. Don, I started using General Dye Stain to add color. They saturate nicely and dry in a few hours. They are water-based and I apply with rags and can wash the rags to reuse.
  22. I'm still playing around with colors.
  23. Make more ornaments for craft shows, tune up all tools, put up walls in the shop, run dedicated power to the shop (I keep turning off the wife's computer) , and do better at keeping the shop clean.
  24. I'm also right handed and cut ccw. That is I move the wood counterclockwise to the blade. The cut (kerf) is moving in a clockwise direction.
  25. I started making ornaments for Christmas 2015. I decided to add color so I picked up some General dye stain. I'm pleased with the colors. Most of these have red on one side and green on the other. They all have 3 layers of 1/32" BB ply. I do 5 at a time. Oh, these patterns are from Steve Good.
