  1. Great project. That will look even better when you frame it.
  2. Jerry, you're 76 years old. If you create the pattern and share it, by the time the legal dopeheads get to you they will have to dig you up to sue you. Go ahead and create the pattern. I'll never tell anyone where it came from. OK, I agree with Len, for personal use it's no trouble. You just can't make $1,234,432,973 off of it.
  3. Well Pete, I'd give it a try. If you have a dust collector you shouldn't have to worry about the dust. I think anything can be cut on a scroll saw with variable degrees of success. If I were to try it I would use very thin ceramic and use a jeweler's blade. I don't have any tile otherwise I'd give it a try myself. If you do try let us know the outcome.
  4. I have a Delta P-20 belt driven. I had a Craftsman direct drive with variable speed control but the control board went out twice in 5 years. I got the belt drive because I don't change speeds in the middle of cutting and figured less electronics less that can go wrong. I've had the P-20 for 8 years with no troubles.
  5. Wow, that is awesome!
  6. I spray on poly.
  7. Thanks for the tip neighbor. I've been to the one in Evendale but the Menards in Lovekand is closer.
  8. Try this freefonts4all.com or www.fonts4free.net. I usually use DAfont.com. .
  9. Looks great Dick. I like your selection of wood. Your grandson will love it.
  10. Those both came out great Ralph. I love the puzzle pieces.
  11. That came out great Mimi.
  12. Great idea. They could also be used as storage for kids toys. Yeah, I'm watching the grandkids this winter and starting to collect toys.
  13. I agree with most other posts...use better quality plywood. I also buy from Sloans. Rockler sells a wood stabilizer that may help but it's expensive.
  14. I look at eBay as a place shoppers go to find a deal. It's kind if like the Walmart of the internet, they have everything at good prices. Nothing wrong with it, it's just not a place I would go to find a gift for someone. If I'm looking for a special gift I would go to a specialty store, kind of like Etsy is on the internet.
  15. I agree that spirals have their place. I admire those that use a spiral almost exclusively. I just feel more comfortable in controlling flat blades. Large projects and those that I feel don't require perfection from me get the spirals.
  16. Looks great!
  17. If I'm converting a photo to make a pattern I use Gimp. All other patterns I make I use Inkscape.
  18. Great idea jerry. Here's another idea.
  19. Fantastic work! You sure were busy.
  20. Came out great Jim.

Nice job Ralph. Who's pattern is it?
  22. Great job. I love fixing things like that...saves money and gives a sense of accomplishment.
  23. Those are very nice. I'm sure you made a lot of people happy. I bet if you asked the customer to pay whatever they felt was the right amount you would get more for them.
  24. Yes, well done. I love the elephant.
  25. I thought about using lacquer but the wife complains about the fumes. Thanks for the nice words and feedback. My wife also likes the 1/4".
