  1. And I'm happy with it too, Richard. It looks great. Very clean and the lettering is fantastic.
  2. The UR blades do leave a little bit of fuzzies on plywood but almost none on hardwood. As for the cost of the blades vs the sanding time, I will spend the extra $ or two on the blades because of how much better the finished produce looks. All blades have a purpose, but some people can get acceptable use for other projects. To me the blades are cheap. If I use 12 blades instead of 6 on a project the cost is about $1.50. That's cheaper than buying a soda or tea at a restaurant.
  3. 3 to 4 inches
  4. Thanks everyone. The wife told me I have to keep it, so it will go on a wall beside the fireplace.
  5. I used TBIII on an outdoor sign. The backing was painted wood. I then put several coats of spar varnish on it. I made the sign 7 years ago and it's still holding up. Shoot, the wind blew it down once and it banged on the concrete. So I think TBIII will work.

    Wood Duck

Fantastic piece! Great selection of wood.
  7. Great job on both. I really like the lettering in Broncos.
  8. Keith, the wood is just a hair over 3/4" thick.
  9. I've had this wood sitting in my basement for about two years and couldn't find anything to use it for. Then I saw Jacob Fowler's pattern in the previous issue of Creative Woodworks and Crafts. The wood is soft maple and is 26" tall and 13" wide. There are 127 cuts in the big pattern and 18 in the smaller one at the top. The part at the top was my wife's idea. (I knew I kept her around for something.) Black photo matting on the back and four coats of satin lacquer. C & C welcome.
  10. Nice job. MDF can be so useful.
  11. Great job. They should last a lot longer than paper props.
  12. Now that's neat! Hmm...scraps of walnut and oak. You've got me thinking.
  13. For portraits, I like wood with very little grain. Too much grain takes away from your work. I'd rather have people talk about the work than the wood.
  14. For pattern making you will probably only use 10% of the features of Corel Draw. It's a lot of dough for patterns. Corel is very powerful, though. But for pattern making, I'd stick with Inkscape and Gimp.
  15. Looks like a great start. You are definitely a busy beaver. Are you a ham radio operator? My dad was up every morning at 0430 to power up his gear and chat with guys all over the world.
  16. Excellent! It's a very attractive clock.
  17. Great job! They look great in the frames.
  18. Wow, that's fantastic. Is that your pattern?

Those look great. I stack cut just about everything thin.
  20. Usually about 2 - 3 times a year I check for loose parts and do a thorough cleaning. Every few projects I clean and wax the table.
  21. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
  22. Excellent video and bowl!
  23. Well done! Great cutting and selection of wood.
  24. Sweet! Nice and clean.
  25. Hey Nick, I just noticed this...your avatar would make a great fretwork pattern. Have you tried pattern making yet? I think one our awesome pattern guys should give it a go.
