  2. Ok Lary ,soon as i'm back over there i'll take a photo of his shop and all the flags for ssv and you to see. The thought had crossed my mind often, but leaves it even quicker!!!
  3. Danny,He keeps bringing me wood to cut stars from! I know i've done 800 for him in the past few days.He puts them on wooden flags he makes out of white pine and aromatic red cedar about 30"long all different types of foliage. He's going to the USA' biggest craft show in Tennessee?soon and sells them for a hunf\dred to 125.00 a piece.Lat count he has 9 of them ,but it look like he going for broke and making as many as he can now thaty he has a star sup[plyer .The stars are 1/4" thick
  4. Now using the sanded plywood aged look is very fitting. I'll have to remember this trick, as i have a problem sanding plywood to much but love the look you got from it !

  6. Not sure about the spirals, but will go with Hans speculations.Straight blades go for over an hour usually.Been awhile since i used spirals exclusively.
  7. Richard the exchange is better than a sharp stick in the eye as i'm not doing anything.The stars and the wood has motivated me to work on my outside shop set up which is going good.P.s. i didn't fall asleep cutting stars either!!!

Danny,The landlady left me for dead,probable doesn't believe im hurt as bad as i say ,and because i didn't go to the hospital like she suggested..I'm not going for surgery no way.i faint when i cut myself so waiting to get opened up i dont think i could make it throught it.We haven't talked since this happened in the 1st.of February .
  9. Thanks ron,i used a #2 scroll reverse blade to make the tight corners easyer,but the grain and knots in the white pine messes that up on the turns but it's manageable

  15. my friend makes wood flags and needs way too many stars for my liking, but i get good pieces of hard wood free for my extended efforts.

  17. THANKS TO mSN'S STA PATTERNS SEE MADE FO ME I CUT 0VER 300 STARS AND STILL MORE TO GO.8 PAGES CHOCK FULL OF 1" STARS SO FAR I SEE NOW I'M MISSING ONE PHOTO ,GUESS I DIDNT TAKE THE FIRST BATCH

  22. I see it takes two to tango ! The misses to chose the perfect project and the wood master to carve his signature in it.Beautifully done by the dynamic duo.Team work perfectly synced.Mr. Sparkey never lets his fellow scrollers down and always come thru shining!Quality work Rusty :thumbs:

  24. NONE BETTER AT ANY PRICE! Having knowedge is one thing but to put it in something ,now your talking persaverance and dedication.Well know area like this is tough to convey in wood and being drawn into it scour the depth of it all is mind boggleing.Fantastic tedious work :thumbs:
