Olepappy,welcome ,you can put up your guns an rods now.There's more fish and wild animals to scroll here now.I just did a striped bass from one of the members.There's two pattern librarys here ,one itemized and one catagoric.Get your own pattern library going in you gallery to save photo's of others work to do later or patterns to do later.the forums the greatest wealth of info you could ever want.e Everybodys ready to help no matter what the request is,scroll saw broke ,we'll steer you to the right repairs and do it yourself.saw not cutting straight ,piece's cut not comeing out,blades breaking to fast what ever,need a special pattern, it's here just ask.you've found a home now! welcome again!

Hello grandpawb,I'd ask how are you but you seemed to have answerd that fully!.sorry to hear the news.Scrolling helps me keep my sanity being out of work 4 years .Trying all aspects of scrolling brings new found joy and a self gradification to boot.Open up all the doors and windows in scroll saw village (ssv) and you open a new world of satisfiying joy.More things too learn and have fun doing it too!.Compound cutting is an interesting concept of scrolling.You can find out about that in the wiki section on top of most pages.Travis's workbench is a fun game to play in there too.Feel free to join in on the chat room thursdays from 7to ?,meet the scrollers there.what ever you want to know it's all here just ask.Welcome to the SSV!Click on a persons name in the gallery to see all they have done being here and open your own gallery to store projects finished and collect patterns there for future referance!
  5. Hello Marshall, That's one elagant letter opener you've made for the family.I've never worked with walnut and wonder what it smells like cutting it.Lot's of time's i'll turn with out pushing to burn the wood just to see what it smells like.

  7. dwsudekum,These mugs are real collector items.Manly i might say to put a pint in!I allmost see brite colored metal bands around them just looking at them for some reason.You went all out to come up with the perfect project.Very nice work!

Two words of advice to you that your looking for Chris,the lord loves a cheerful giver .And when something is given with the heart it comes back ten fold.you can't go wrong!I've been waiting for you to post this project in the gallery so i could elaborbate on it.The Jesus in a Jesus is so cool.A picture in a picture.Makes you dig deep to see what you don't see readily and makes the wheels spin in the same process.It's a dreamy picture.A thinking mans picture.More meaning than meets the eye.You were deep in thought conjuring up the perfect scene picture with deep meaning.Great job!this ones on my list now!thanks. jesus

Hello Glen, welcome ,Everybody would love to know what's been a good seller for you at the craft shows.I've only done one show and was the only one to sell anything!.there were 3 and 4 piece kid puzzle's there but none sold at another craft show i visted.they were plain unfinished in a clear bag for 6 bucks.I sold religous words ,keychains on order.Open up your own gallery here to store patterns and works.Merry Christmas!
  14. Ihanks Dan, I t was the saw i just feed it!Youd'd think this saw has automatic pilot in in.Where has this saw been all my life.Guess it's better to have bad first and then good, it's all that much better to appreiciate it!

Thanks Art and Clayton,I started a train by noel and picked the wrong to cheap of wood to do it in.So that will turn into oranaments for next year My wood selection is bleeding out into the aisle to much and to high so finding the right piece is a job and a half as i allways take short cuts doing things.Very very quiete today on the road and neighborhood.I was pick out of 25 receipients to receive a banjo CD from "BENJI FLAMING"made my day and my only present too.XRAY gave me spirals which i put in the xmzs catagorie too.It will raise the hair on your back to listen to benji play .on his web site he doe's corol of the bells and if (recomend) watch it you'll see why.It's incredible he can do so many things at once playing that song.

The dw788 floated on a cloud cutting this mdf dual stack quite nicely.iI still have'nt fastened it down and proablely never will as i need to move the saw around alot when cutting projects as i don't have to much space to work with.The merry christmas is 4" x 9" x 1/4"I used a skip tooth i had available ,used so i don't remember what # it is.

Thanks Barry you hit the nail on the head ,i can't break away from other things right now to use my new toy.You must have esp!If i only knew how nice the saw was earlyer i would have gone all out to find a way to get one.I even traded my extra car for one to my friend and he never came through.Trust in the lord only!MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS!

Oh now come on grampa.You know it takes at least 2 weeks to put a nice down hill from then on, scroll saw run through the mill test i put them through.The brand new sears showed signs of fix me now in two weeks. the dremil took a year and the deltas 6 months.this dewalt is so sweet running and sounds like it has cotton for bearings.I'm ready to knock out some more lords prayers now as big as i can now .i'm loaded up with nice frames to put them in too.40' x 40" i guess is the limit now , but if i have nice fancy add -on's to go around it in the frame to spruce it up that'll work for me .this is where the "rapid resizer" makes fitting thing easy into what ever space i have to work with on any pattern.i need to make my time count now ,enough praticeing, time to make some money!
