  4. very nice project.Interesting item i ran across . my friend wanted a tattoo draw of the Christ on the cross. .I needed a refererce picture ,so looking on the web i found out that there's no mention of spikes or nails in the feet ,only bound.just thought i'd throw that in.Every picture i ever seen had 3 nails .one in each hand and one in the feet.
  5. This ones an 18" and i had to drill out a chunk of cast iron so my hand would fit to change the bottom blade. There's another chunk of metal i threw away before i thought about posting this. Send me down a truck load of that dust !

  13. HEY JIM,Looks great. You can take play dough and squeese it in the letters ,let it dry and clear coat,People love the chance to pick the one that appeals to their eye. I did some #1 moms and found a drill hole the size of a pencil. It being all finished ,not knowing what to do ,when i showed them to the first customer thats the one they wanted ,because i glued a cats eye marble over the hole. Why did she chose that one ,because it was differant than all the rest. dare to be differant.Say, send that kevin keychain down here ,lol .Thats the best one, oh ,also belt sand the edges, rout the insides with a dremil all kinds of things you can do
  14. i found 5 at tool king 479.-tool plus 499.-cpo porter cable 499-amazon 479-buy.com market place 479.don't know if the stand and light and shipping are included.
  15. Sounds about right Paully,Who would think a tool could be used only on weekends by weekend warriors! lol.But 5 hours only and it's getting loose as a goose.it was tight as a drum .You can lift up on the top arm ,up and down and feel the slack getting more and more. When it gets to the point that my dremil did ,i'll drill out and press in a roll pin .these pivot points on the connecting link are so small that when a little wear is incured it acts like a knife being so small and does irreplaceable damage with every stroke.Thaks for the heads up .I have a guy in the next county interested in my telescope. A MEADE 10" reflector. If he buys it i'll send to grizzley post haste and try my hand on the dw788 .I heard that delta has the same machine for less and is green or gray instead of yellow .Does anybody know anything about this?
  16. my new craftsman scroll saw 18" has less than 5 hours on it and allready it on it's way out . As usual the top arm connecting link arm is wearing out fast, i've had this problem with ever chinese scroll saw i've had ,but this one wore out the fastest.I drilled 2 holes so i could see the link arm connections and sprayed lube on them . The herundous squeek stopped but not for long .What it needs is an automatic oiler for now .Does anybody have any suggestions.Thats a real shame that they turn out this stuff knowing full well that this is the first thing to go bad.

  21. Hi steven, i've thought about this a few times and my conclueion was that on most any picture i've seen just erase a part of the line some where so wood can still hold it toghther. On the bear erase two spots before and after the nose ,top and bottom away from the nose an inch or so.that way the nose still has the 3d look but is scrollable.hope you can under stand, hope this helps.
