  1. Repositionable spray glue onto back of pattern then glue to wood, packing tape only on thick wood 3/4" or thicker after holes are drilled. happy scrolling Steve

  4. It must be something your end, I've never had a problem with Steve's site.
  5. I keep mine in old Steradent tubes mounted in a wood block. happy scrolling Steve
  6. Rob, I think that you'll find that the lever is metric (possibly 5mm). The levers on my Delta 540 and 560 are metric. happy scrolling Steve
  7. This is what I did when my 3rd grandson was born, it fits in a 10 x 8 frame. The hole in the middle is for a photo. happy scrolling Steve
  8. You could try Axminster Tools.
  9. Marg, I did start to count the holes as I drilled them but gave up after loosing count twice, once I had sorted the pattern out I cut in about 8 hours, spread over a couple of days. happy scrolling Steve
  10. One or two that's for sure Don, be a while before I do another one. happy scrolling Steve
  11. Well thanks to DonR for helping out with the pattern, I've cut it, well half of it really as it was I couldn't see me cutting it as it had to be a 10" x 8" picture so I cut the important one, Poppy. It's cut out of 6mm Oak veneered mdf and finished with Danish oil. happy scrolling Steve
  12. Search for sewing machine belts on ebay and Amazon, there's plenty about, It's what I use on my two Hobbies A1 treadle fret saws. happy scrolling Steve
  13. If you look through his ebay shop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Black-Jax-Custom-Stencilsand go through the categories there are a lot of patterns that I recognise as being in the library and I think from other forums as well. I agree that the library should be only available to members with a certain number of posts, maybe 10, 15 or more. Maybe pattern central could be made private as well, I don't know the answer to this problem, just offering suggestions to combat it, It would not be a good thing if this behaviour made the pattern makers stop doing what they do on here, I for one appreciate all the time and effort they put in. happy scrolling Steve
  14. In a word, yes happy scrolling Steve
  15. Here is the pattern, enjoy. happy scrolling Steve live laugh love.svg

  18. A big thank you to Travis for his recent video tutorial on intersecting wordart, I watched it and thought "I can do that," so here is my first attempt following the tutorial, it's not perfect but OK for a first attempt and the wife likes it very much. It's cut with FDUR1 blades from 1/4" Oak veneered mdf, the size is 10" x 8" finished with Danish oil. Comments welcome. happy scrolling Steve
  19. Looks like a box for a childs tool set.
  20. My son was married to Emma on Saturday and I cut this for them, 6mm (1/4") oak faced ply 250 x 200 (10" x 8"), finished with Danish oil and has a black card backer. Pattern by mahendra, I just added the names and date. happy scrolling Steve
  21. Most spray glue will do but make sure it's re-positionable. I have used 3m, own brand from the local craft shop and now i'm using Bostik Fast Tac. The trick is to get the right amount onto the pattern. happy scrolling Steve
  22. I have two treadle saws, both Hobbies A1's but would never dream of sawing in the living room, kitchen yes. :)
  23. Post deleted, caught out by a resurrected old thread. About four pages of them. happy scrolling Steve
  24. Lorn, just had a look at your facebook page and I like it a lot, you have some wonderful stuff there. as for breakout try drilling halfway through and then drill from the other side, that might help. Frank, you wrote, P.S. I take it you ride a bike then !! me too mate ,good on yer not for at least six weeks you don't :)
  25. Just had another thought, if it's just a flat disc you could make these with a hole cutter, a 7cm cutter and arbour about £20 from Wickes http://www.wickes.co.uk/power-tool-accessories/hole-saws+arbours/icat/holesawaarbours/ (other makes are available) and then drill out the centre hole to 1cm. happy scrolling Steve
