well it was bound to happen , not only the top but the bottom on mine have gone bad . Guess i'll just order a dozen of the holders and adozen of each screw . Oh LORD wont you buy me a DW788 !!!!!!!
I have the same saw im sure , I ended up ordering a new upper blade holder and to be safe i ordered 6 screws to go with it .I still wear out the screws but now i don't wait till the holder wears out . Putting the blade nearer the front does help . My overall plan is a DW 788 to fix the problem lol . Has the air bellows give out on you yet when it does get an aquarium air pump and it works great.
Try using a clip on light to make sure you get even coverage using the reflection to see how much you put on . Also i took a piece of osb and shot brad nails true to set my pieces on as they dried . It holds them up and they don't stick on the bottom, so i spray btm first then flip it and spray the top.Ron
Welcome Bert feel free to look around and ask any questions, ive been here a couple of months too and have picked up a lot of tips , first and best tip i got is to use the reverse skip tooth blades. they are slightly more expensive but cut like butter and minimum "fuzzies" to clean up. Ron
for the extra couple hundred go for the EX. the Dewalt is a great saw but the Excalibers are the top of the line, so i,ve heard maybe one day i'll get - sorry i was dreamin again , it happens.
