  1. I was able to join and i got my confirmation email as well. I looked around breifly and didn't see any of my patterns. Question is this who is it ? I for one welcome another forum but only if it is done right !!! Ricks old free4all, Travis's SSV, Gayles Cafe ,Steve's site and Chris Messmans siteand, scrollsawyer are done right. I will wait a bit to see who runs this new site and what the standards are. If they don't hold up to the standards set by others i'll be the first to jump on the milkcrate and say so. sully
  2. I use a small c-clamp on the top side of the arm and then attach the bungee to it but basically the same idea as this sully
  3. Only thing about a vacuum vs a air pump is the noise issue. Vacuums are inherently much louder than a air pump from an aquarium. also the main reason for any pump is to keep dust off the pattern making the blade and lines visible. Just my 3 cents worth due to the cost of living increase. LOL sully
  4. Mine is set up like smitty's sully
  5. I only use them on large pieces sully.
  6. Thanks for the coffee, I'm ready for spring cause it's 3 F this mornin and it's gonna take 2 hours to get the shop warmed up. Not sure what i'll do out there but can't do it at 3F LOL. Yesterday i cut peices to make about 60 11 x 14 picture frames. Soon as i get some more vnails i'll put them together. Made some walnut , cherry, ash, Chesnutt, and old oak. Ya'll have a blessed day. sully
  7. When you said homemade I expected a saw made with bailing wire and such. Heck that looks better than my Dewalt LOL. sully
  8. well just got back from the VA and the Pet Scan showed that my Parotic gland is not normal so they ordered a CT to check it. Had my left side done 3 years ago so hope this is not cancer. The surgery left the left side of my face numb to this dat due to nerve damage and it wasn't cancer !!! Needless to say they ain't cutting on my right side unless it's cancer !!!!!!!!!! CT is scheduled for around the 5th of Feb. Other than that all's well. Off to the shop to make dust so everyone stay safe. sully
  9. Thanks for the coffee Keith. 19 F this mornin and we are headed to the VA in 1/2 hour to see my Oncologist. Getting the results from last weeks Pet Scan today. I really don't like this new Dr. they give me ask she is does not seem to care about my day to day issues just that she moves us in and moves us out. Maybe i'll take some extra time today to just whine and slow her down. Thank the Lord i only have to see her every 6 months. Anyhow i'm not worried about the scan results cause i've felt fine and this is just my yearly check to make sure the cancer has not returned. Ya'll have a blessed day and be safe. sully
  10. Great link Spirit and i have seen this for sale at my local Sears store sully
  11. Good morning Ron and thanks for the coffee.Got the shop heating up so i'll head out there in a few minutes to finish planing some boards for bee traps. Might get some scollin done later. Ya'll have a safe and blessed day. sully
  12. I want to try this on my wife but then i do need to eat LOL sully
  13. I'll be praying for ya David LOL sully
  14. Edward i use pegboard panels I made years ago. they are 2' wide on 1x2 frames and i have them hinged together bi-fold style. 5 panels weigh about 30 lbs. total. i use pegboard hooks to hang my portraits with. We have a 10 x 10 canopy so i made the panels when opened they fit perfect between the legs of the canopy, then use ball bungees to hold them up and screw 1 x 2's across the back to make them ridgid. I do two panels (20' total wall display). This leaves the whole booth open floor space wise for the tables you have. Everything we take to shows goes in the back of my truck. Also having your wife's crafts helps make sales. The panels are 6' long to fit in the truck as well. sully
  15. Wish we were doing the shows now Roly but it's still 2 months away to our first one. Bee trap sales are zero in the winter but i'm makin them all the time to stock up fer spring. sully
  16. coffee's ready with water steamin on the stove. Got some bagels hot out of the toaster oven for you too.Might throw some jam on them.Off to the FM to try and sell something to be able to pay a couple bills. Yesterday was ok but still slow. Wish spring would hurry up so we can start our shows. Ya'll have a blessed day sully
  17. Thanks Karl ,it took a lil lookin but i'm pretty sure it,s called 'Shadowed serif'. I downloaded it and added it to my fonts on the puter. with a few bridges it is exactly what i was looking for. Here's the link at Dafont http://www.dafont.com/search.php?q=shadowed+serif sully
  18. Dan do you have your saw tilted forward ? sully
  19. Dick if you lay down a piece of press and seal on your work and roll it down with a wall paper seam roller then apply your pattern as usual to it it will peel right off when done. I used to do this but have found that loctite brand adhesive works great without the Press and Seal. sully
  20. I will sit and cut for as much as 3 hours and then take a coffee break then back to cutting for a couple more before another coffee break. If i'm on a couple of great patterns i may cut for 6-8 hours. If i'm planing boards down i've worked for 10 hours in the shop. Seems like a lot but i truly love my shop and just makin dust. sully
  21. Steve i hate to hear of your loss but as many have said at least no one was hurt. I'd hate for my shop to burn as it is a big part of my life as yours was for you, but the bright side is now you can build a bigger and better shop. Trust in the Lord to get you thru the valleys . Someone asked me once why bad things happen to good people I told them because it just does.and when you make it thru the bad times and heartache it makes you stronger. Trying to explain that to my 4 year old granddaughter was not an easy task when i was told i had cancer 4 years ago. Stay strong Steve and the Lord will provide a refuge. sully
  22. Sorry i'm late but i'll take a cup of coffee stead of tea thanks. had to go for my yearly PET Scan this morn at the VA. All went well and i go to see my Oncologist next thursday for the results. Lord has taken care of me and my cancer for 4 years now and he and i ain't gonna quit now. Haven't had any problems this is just my yearly scan and follow up. Ya'll have a great day and blessed as well. sully

I'll pass on the grits ,never have cared for them. Off to the shop after breakfast to finish my wifes display .Her beads came in yesterday so she's hard at it making bracelets . She's doing the Pandora stlyle now and we hope it takes off at the shows. Not the pandora brand beads those are insane expensive !!!! Ya'll have a blessed day. sully
