Art if you fir out the outside walls with 1x2 pressure treated firring strips then do as david mentioned putting 1/2" foam insulation and then put up a plastic vapor barrior before hanging the osb or sheetrock you shouldhave no problems. You'll need to use a thinner electiral box for outlets but they are available at lowes and homedepot. Good luck and check back if ya need any more help.

David not the case here, it's my three year review and basicaly they said because i "don't have cancer" any more that i'm now able to go to work.Sure would like to let them go a week in my shoes and have the pain and suffering from my stomach from my surgeries. Don't get me wrong I'm not crying but they just have no idea what I have to go thru every day. Many here know exactly what i'm talking about and we just suck it up and deal with it LOL. Thanks for your prayers

Ok freinds i need your prayers. The social security admin. has decided to stop my disability payments after 3 years and i have to file an appeal to fight it. This means that i'll have to get a lawyer yuck. If i lose my disability it will mean that i'll have to go back to work and i don't know if i'm able to do that physically. Here at home and doing shows i can set my pace and decide when i've got to take a break, can't do that with a job.I may also have to give up scrolling if i have to go back to work. For all i know it may put me in the grave as well. Please pray that God will work in this situation to bless my wife and i and get us thru this ordeal. I'm not worried but i am very concerned for our future and quality of life. Bless each of you and your families.

I thought about cleaning/reorganizing my shop but can't figger out where to start and it took me years to get that layer of dust on everything why would i want to have to start all over ???? LOL

I would use 1/2" . As far as how to hang it i would run it up and down on the walls. if you do it sideways you would need to add nailers 4' up to secure the horizontal seam between sheets,if you don't over time it can warp. Also if you paint them go with a semi or gloss paint to make cleaning easier. Flat paint is cheaper but holds dust like a magnet. Hope this helps.

Roly thats the best part about the water based, I rinse the can out with water then fill it half full again with water and spray at 90 psi for a few seconds. do this say 3 times and yer done. It's non toxic so ya can just throw the water out or down the drain

I use water based clear poly and spray with a spray gun. No fumes, dries fast, easy cleanup, available at lowes and home depot. Only downside is that it will raise the grain slightly.I use it on everything i do.

Edward , been there done that. It's called a void . The 1/4" oak and birch ply at lowes and home depot is not real ply any more ,it's 2 ultra thin veneers with junk inbetween. I now use a ply called Sureply from lowes and have great finished fretwork with it. It's basicaly 1/4" underlayment . has x's for nailing on one side but the other side is really nice. It cuts really nice and tales a finish well. A 4x8 sheet runs about $20. Hope this helps.

Bill i'm no expert but pretty sure you will need to put up vapor barrier first , Then i would stud it out with 2x4 and use fiberglass bats with sheetrock as sheathing. all depends on your budget. Good luck
