  1. I heat my 20'x30' shop with a 10,000 btu heater/ac unit . works good but on really cold days it takes a while to get it comfy. It's a window unit mounted in the wall for security. sully
  2. working fine for me sully
  3. Hey all , no I didn't die but i'm sure wore out, we have had around 15 shows in a row and we have new products as well. Wife is into wind chimes and painting on old barn lumber, and i have started doing wood basket planters and the bee traps. Sorry i won't be posting pictures as we had another vendor stab us in the back and copy a new line i was doing and another vendor that has promised to copy anything i come up with. Jesus said that we would be hated and persecuted in and because of his name, but we will keep doing the Lords work at shows. I'll try to be on here more in the future but please understand my reluctance to post any pictures now of the new things that we do at shows. By the way my patterns of the Lord are as always free to all. sully
  4. If ya ever get it figgered out let us know as mine is doing the same thing but with a knocking sound too. sully
  5. Thanks for the coffee Larry. Been out unloading the truck and reloading for a one day show tomorrow already. We have never done this lil show before but it's free so only need to make up for gas YIPPEE. Still trying to take it easy from the surgery and all is going pretty good with the healing and pain. Had me on oxycodone for the first 5 days but had to get off it as it bound my inerds up and they put me on a lax. Said the heck with that cause it didn't work and got a bottle of mag.citrate . Can you say flush you out !!!! Now the ole plumbin is runnin like it should and my head is clear as a bell with just a couple of Tylenols. Ya'll have a blessed day sully
  6. Prayers headed your way for a full recovery. sully
  7. Here's me and the better half taken at Easter this year sully
  8. Hey everyone had a short conv. with Spirit and we need to lift him up to the Lord in prayer. Lets show how the power of prayer and fellowship can help you thru the tough times that all of us are faced with and how we can't let satan win. Give your testimony of how prayer and faith in God and his healing grace got you thru. I'll start but keep mine as short as possible In the last 6 years because of my faith in the Lord i've made it past 1 heart attack, rolling a lawnmower on top of me in a 25'ravine,underwent chemo, radiation and major surgery for esophogeal cancer, 1year fighting afib, had cardiac ablasion ,hernia surgery, neck surgery, and now have had kidney cancer surgery one week ago. Understand I AM NOT COMPLAINING !!!! I am alive and my Lord is a awesome God. I daily thank Him for my LIFE that could have been taken at any one of those events. By the way all those events were after i got saved 7 years ago !!! God and i really pissed satan off LOL Stay strong in you faith Brother Spirit and KEEP PRAYING SULLY/Ron
  9. Shop vacs are just that SHOP VACS. I have burned up 6 good ones over the years trying to use them as dust vacs. if you plan to "hook " it up to a large power tool or your scrollsaw get a dust collection system and set it up the way you want. I have spent over $1000 for shop vacs over the years and a dust collection system is by far cheaper in the long run. 2 bag system is better with cyclonic chip collector inline. My chip collector holds 55 gallon .Also a remote control is a must have. sully
  10. Thanks for the coffee Bill. Headed out to the shop in a few minutes to start my trap assembly line LOL. It's been 5 days since the surgery and i feel awesome. Still going to take it easy but man GOD has blessed me !!!!!! Great surgery, great Dr. and nurses.I actually walked out of the hospital and to the car, Everyone was amazed but God told me to take up my bed and walk so i obeyed the Lord. Thursday we head to Boone to start a 5 day show so need to get some inventory built up. Ya'll have a blessed day and Thank the Lord for what you have cause it could be worst ! sully
  11. Spirit sorry to hear of your troubles . Have you ever looked into Magnetic Therapy for some relief ? Phyllis and i sold it for years at shows and it is awesome for pain relief. You will be on my prayer list brother. Remember you can do all things thru Christ who strengthens you. sully
  12. Chet i looked at this pattern and there are a bunch of floaters. Before i cut it or drill the holes use a pencil and remove some of the black lines to add bridges to stabilize the piece sully.
  13. Thanks for the coffee Larry and the biscuit. Taking it easy today and Sunday ,surgery went very well . Thanks to all for the prayers and well wishes. I promised everyone in the family and at the hosp. that i would take it easy for a lil while. so i'll start Monday if able.LOL sully
  14. Another way is to take a small plastic bowl and turn it upside down over the hole and weigh it down with a brick. In 2 days the nest starves to death and the queen with it. Do it late in the evening when the yellow jackets are less active and your less likely to get stung. It beats pouring gas down the nest hole. sully
  15. I gotta git me one of them trucks !!!! Sorry to hear of your "bad luck" sully
  16. Kepy if I slow down i'm afraid i won't be able to get going again hahahahahahaha. sully
  17. No way !!!! Me and Kevin O'Leary would have to go a couple of rounds with his attitude and rudeness !!!!! Love that show but not him LOL sully
  18. Thats the basics, mine are just different dimensions and shape from that. sully
  19. Wake up and get yer cup .Java's ready and tea as well. Out to the shop to carry on with the trap assembly line this mornin. Will not be around for a few days as we head to the hosp. tommorrow mornin for my kidney surgery. Hope to be back in 3 days and back in shop within a week. Need to - we have a 5 day show starting next Thursday. Please put Phyllis and I on your prayer list and ya'll have a blessed day sully
  20. Kevin once the patent goes thru i'll post pics. Sorry sully
  21. Well i've got my wits back after this weekends show. Man GOD IS GOOD !!! Sold about 5 portraits and some word art along with some of my wifes jewelry but the traps were unreal. Are ya sittin down and put the coffee down too???? We took 88 traps and sold 83 in 4 days with rain on saturday. Thank you Lord. If any of you want to make some easy cash these traps are a gold mine. I use recycled water bottles with the caps stapled into a 3"x3"x6" pine box made from pallet wood. So my cost is almost $00.00 just the brad nails and staples.I would share my design but i'm going to apply for a patent for my style of trap .so do a web image search for Borer/carpenter bee traps and check them out and get them creative juices workin and make yer own style like i did with mine and what you have available to you as far as material. It's monotonous making them but hey i made $830.00 from bottles on a box. If you decide to make and sell them do your research on the web as to how they work cause people will buy them if they know you have an understanding of the bee's and the traps. WE talk our heads off but hey they sell. God Bless sully
  22. Ok up and at it , coffee and tea is waitin fer ya. Off to the VA for a dermatology appointment then on the road to Boone NC. to set up for our mothers day show. Four days there and the weather is kinda ify to say the least. Sat. they are calling for 60% chance of rain. As long as the wind don't get up we'll be ready , wind gets me nervous. Even with 400# of concrete to hold down the canopy along with all my walls and pictures the wind can mess up a canopy if it hits from the wrong direction. This is our first major show for the year and hoping it gets the year started off on the right note. Please keep Phyllis and i in your prayers. God bless sully
  23. Mmmmmm bagels and coffee, great way to start the day. Still getting the truck ready and loaded for our first big show this weekend. Praying for a great one to jumpstart our season off. We set up and start selling on thursday. Ya'll have a blessed day sully
  24. Duane if the funds are available think about heating and cooling so you can enjoy the shop year round. sully
  25. I have done a number of portraits out of "old" barn boards, I've never worried or even tried to age the cut edges because it's almost impossible to get them to match. I do plane the surface but just enough to clean it up then put clear poly on it after the cut. Mostly i use the old boards for frames both planed and unplaned. Don't know if this helps sully
