  1. I've already started getting ready for next years shows. Seems like there's not enough hours in the day or days in the year . sully
  2. I never paid much attention to it. ??? sully
  3. I have a Skil and i put the blade in both the bottom and top just till the end is flush out the opposite side.Loosen the tension rod all the way first time then adjust , after that you will be close at each blade change. It should " ping" like a banjo string once you tighten the blade. sully
  4. Don't know if it's a issue but how far away is he and who pays to ship if needed ? sully
  5. None of the blades from big box stores are for serious scrollers. I've tried almost all of them and they cost twice as much and last for only a few cuts before they are dull. Stick with Mike and you can't go wrong. All i use are FDUR #3 sully
  6. Would that be pinned, straight or both types of blades ? sully
  7. What voltage are you looking for ??? sully
  8. Marg , for me going to the fdur blades was like going from skip blades to the reverse skip blades. night and day. If you haven't tried them you will be amazed at how well they work on stack cutting. They are almost to aggressive for single 1/4" ply, you really need to slow the saw speed down then. sully
  9. I buy Sureply from Lowes or the equivalent from HD in 4x8 sheets at around $ 15.00 a sheet. It is a underlayment but the side that normally would face down is great quality for portraits. The cabinet grade ply from both places is trash and costs twice as much !!!! sully
  10. Marg i stack cut as many as 6 - 1/4" ply depending on the pattern and use #3 fdur blades with very little sanding at all sully
  11. Kelly, in my opinion Flying dutchman ultra reverse are the best blades out there. All i use are #3 fdur ordered from Mike. Trash the blades you get from the big box stores and order from Mike and you will not regret it. sully
  12. If ya ever get it figgered out let us know as mine is doing the same thing but with a knocking sound too. sully
  13. Shop vacs are just that SHOP VACS. I have burned up 6 good ones over the years trying to use them as dust vacs. if you plan to "hook " it up to a large power tool or your scrollsaw get a dust collection system and set it up the way you want. I have spent over $1000 for shop vacs over the years and a dust collection system is by far cheaper in the long run. 2 bag system is better with cyclonic chip collector inline. My chip collector holds 55 gallon .Also a remote control is a must have. sully
  14. Chet i looked at this pattern and there are a bunch of floaters. Before i cut it or drill the holes use a pencil and remove some of the black lines to add bridges to stabilize the piece sully.
  15. Another way is to take a small plastic bowl and turn it upside down over the hole and weigh it down with a brick. In 2 days the nest starves to death and the queen with it. Do it late in the evening when the yellow jackets are less active and your less likely to get stung. It beats pouring gas down the nest hole. sully
  16. Duane if the funds are available think about heating and cooling so you can enjoy the shop year round. sully
  17. I have done a number of portraits out of "old" barn boards, I've never worried or even tried to age the cut edges because it's almost impossible to get them to match. I do plane the surface but just enough to clean it up then put clear poly on it after the cut. Mostly i use the old boards for frames both planed and unplaned. Don't know if this helps sully
  18. gr8 job Danny, Thanks for showing sully
  19. I'm still around LOL. Been busy getting ready for shows and dealing with some issues. sully
  20. Roy stay away from green leafy veggies. They are high in vitamin K which is a antidote to warfarin. Took a while to get my INR to the right level years ago. Thank the Lord i don't have to take the warfarin any more, just an aspirin. sully
  21. Here's my take on it - as far as the patterns he can't legally sell them if the designer originally stated not to sell the pattern or copy's for profit. As far as what you cut anything is sellable as long as the image is not copyrighted IE Disney,HD and so on. My patterns for example are for sale by anyone but cut and sell all the finished peices you want. Just my 2 cents worth. sully
  22. Dick great cut, that looks like one of Pabreu's patterns from a few years back but not 100% sure. sully
  23. 5382 in 50 folders but some are duplicates. Guess that makes me a hoarder LOL sully
  24. I have used clear waterbased poly for years and love it. Gives a nice shine but lets the natural look come thru. Cleanup is a breeze. sully
