  5. Welcome Jason. I am also a fellow reloader. This is a great place to be.
  6. Welcome
  7. Welcome to the Village and congratulations on your retirement.
  8. I must be the odd ball. I can cut a straighter line with a spiral than I can with a flat blade. When it's time to cut turns it gets even worse.
  9. Those are the blades I use the most. I use a DeWalt 788 saw. I run the screw out a little past flush. When I tighten down onto it with the thumb screw I don't seem to have many problems. I broke a couple of blades when the screw was flush or even recessed a little. Try that and see if it helps. I could be wrong but I would think trying to straighten the blade with pliers would weaken the blade. Hope it helps.
  10. Very nice and one heck of a deal.
  11. Yes I cut everything with the new style 3/0 spiral FD blades from Mike. Thanks everybody for the kind words.
  12. We see this question a lot. I know I asked when I was new. I am posting this hoping it will help someone new. I use Flying Dutchman 3/0 new spiral blades from Mikes Workshop. I use them for everything except 3/4" hardwood. The Air Force plaque was stack cut, three pieces of 1/4" maple plywood. Then I started cutting the cross out of 3/8" cedar and took the picture when the blade broke. Hope this helps.
  13. Had to get back on the saw today. I have some Christmas presents to make. I made one of the Army, two of the Air Force and one cross. Need to make one more cross tomorrow.
  14. It looks good to me.
  15. That is a cool box. great job.
  16. When cutting 1/4 inch ply I always stack three. The bottom one needs to be sanded but not usually much. I use the new FD 3/0 spiral blades. I also burn the backs to get rid of any hairs.
  17. In my short experience I like FD blades the best. The Pegasus blades I tried kept breaking. The FD blades break but only after I have used them past where they got dull and should have been changed. I cut mostly with the new FD 3/0 spiral. I order all of my blades from Mike.
  18. Great job Kevin. I don't think people have a clue how long it takes us to do some of these projects.
  19. Very nice job cutting. I also like the pattern.
  20. How many of you make your own picture frames? I am looking to buy a manual v-nail joiner and was wondering if anybody here uses one and if so how you like it.
  21. Great job Kevin. You sure do stay busy.
  22. I have an oil-less air compressor and they are very loud. The next one I get will take oil. Sounds like you got some great deals.
