  1. Very nice Dan.
  2. Well the very old Craftsman 8" drill press was sounding pretty bad so I retired it. I bought a Skill 10" with the lazer. I love the lazer feature. I also love that the 1/2" drill chuck goes small enough to hold a # 57 drill bit. It also has a great price on-line at $119.
  3. Wow great job Kevin.
  4. Not sure which size but you should have four collets with the Dremel tool. I think it is the smallest one. If you don't have them then you can buy the four collet set at Lowes for around $6.
  5. No I did not stack cut. Yes there was a pleasant aroma the whole time I was cutting. I love the smell of cedar.
  6. That is sweet. Great job, you have inspired me. I have a pattern for a box. I guess I will have to put fear aside and try it. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Looks great John. I also love spiral blades. I use them for everything but I like the new FD 3/0 spiral.
  8. I gave it to our Priest today for a gift when we went to Mass.
  9. I have been using the lifter on the upper arm on my DeWalt to hold it up when I move the blade. It works great. I went to lift the arm so I could move the blade and the arm wouldn't lift high enough. I didn't want to force it so I took the back cover off to see what was hanging up. I couldn't find anything wrong. I tightened a couple of things and put it back together. I started the saw and it runs more quiet now. I didn't really have any vibration to speak of before but I have even less now. I didn't even bolt it back down to the bench and cut my cross out with no problems. The best part is now the upper arm is stiff and will stay up on it's own without the lifter, just like the Excalibur does. Sorry for the long post I am just very happy with the changes to my saw and wanted to post this to let you know of the possibilities.
  10. Very nice Frank I'm sure she will love it.
  11. Yes Dan it is cedar. It was a lot easier and faster to cut than the purpleheart one I cut.
  12. Went down into the garage for a while and came out with this.
  13. I have one and it works great for drilling what I can't reach with the drill press but I would rather drill what I can with the drill press.
  14. I have to agree, great job. I also like the frame.
  15. That is awesome. Looks like a very difficult project.
  16. Looks good Frank, nice cutting. I like your choice of wood.
  17. That sounds like a great price from what I have seen in my area.
  18. If I am not mistaken they are metric, 6 mm. A friend of mine bought the thumbscrews from Seyco and they will also work on the DeWalt.
  19. Thank you everybody for the kind words.
  20. That is really nice. I don't think I have ever seen anything like it.
  21. Wow Kevin that's a lot of stars.
  22. I got it done today.
  23. I got my DeWalt in December. My old saw was a 30 year old Ryobi. You are not going to believe the difference. I just had to bolt the table on and start scrolling. Like Clayton said square the table to the blade. Congrats.
  24. Thanks again to Paul for the pattern. I cut this as a gag gift for a friend. We were golfing in a tournament and he handed me his phone and asked we to take a picture of him. Ever since we all saw it we call him chicken wing. I just finished cutting it.
  25. John that is awesome. You did an excellent job on that
