Made this gift for a friend who's family is involved in this gymnastic club.The boys & girls competed recently in the World Gymnaestrada in Helsinki where they joined with thousands of gymnasts from all around the globe & I thought they deserved a little something for their great effort.It is made with 3/4 Pine & painted in their club colours .   14. Thought I would try a Basketweave project with a pattern from a book I just purchased .It said to do it in 9 layers of 1/2" timber but seeing I was short on that I used 6 layers of 3/4",Think it still came up ok, Cheers Peter
  15. Could it be that maybe the blade is somehow catching on the blade hole on the upstroke & causing the blade to pull out of the top clamp,maybe too much pressure on the workpiece,just a thought.
  16. Looks just like mine well done Forester,I think they should be a good seller,$25 dollars worth of material in it that I will have to recoup for a start.

  19. Thank you all for the kind comments & am glad you all like it & want to build it, I think you could also use it in a childs bedroom with maybe a teddy bear sitting in it.
  20. I downloaded the pattern from the berrybasket.com website for a small cost. It was in their toy patterns section

This is my latest effort, It is a chair planter Made from 3/4" pine & is 14'' High & 9" Wide & takes a 5'' Pot ,I am going to finish it with a marine varnish as it could be located outside on a verandah etc.,I am quite pleased as to how it turned out & am now in the process of making another one as my sister has claimed this one.
