  1. You have got yourself a very nice bench there Dick & with plenty of storage space as well.
  2. Yes len I may have to do that for the next couple of days until we get a cooler change, should be cooler by the weekend I hope
  3. Its a bit hard turning the heater off that I am talking about (the Sun)
  4. I was spraying some undercoat onto a backing piece today,It was 40 degrees Centigrade & the paint was drying before it hit the backer as it just rubbed of by hand like powder .Bring on winter.
  5. Often looked at it Marg & wondered the same thing but have not tried it,thinking it might be a bit too soft.
  6. For my segmentation jobs I use varnish mixed with a 1/3 penatrol Most of the others i mainly use satin or gloss spray varnish except for smaller projects where I might use rubbing polish.

Made this on just to see if I could do it.After a lot of experimenting with table angles ,size of blade , thickness of wood & direction of cut etc.Then I found out there was a tutorial on it,anyway this is what happened .i seem to have grasped the idea of how to go about these now, hope so anyway,I used a number 2 skip tooth blade !/4" timber An a table angle of about 1 degree.

  14. Thanks Kev the box swivels open & closed on a small dowel Lynn loves anything green & that particular colour is neon green
  15. As Jerry suggested ,I think I would do this as a segmentation piece,Paint the pieces individually & glue them together & to a backing board. Rounding the edges of the pieces would give it a slightly 3D effect also .Cheers Peter
