  4. As Scrolling Steve says I to only lub the tension lever with some petroleum jelly.All other bearing are sealed as stated in the instruction book.
  5. Just finished this one for my grand daughter & was given orders that it must be black so I made the backer a matt black & the cut piece was done in gloss to give it a bit of contrast .Thanks to Steve Good for the pattern.Cheers Peter.

  10. This is the set up I use .I have a long rod connected to my magnifying lens & pivoted to a ceiling joist above the saw so all I have to do is move it aside when required & when i move it back the focus usually remains the same.

  17. Made these from a Diana Thompson pattern & they are about 4" high .I don't know what I am going to do with them now as they are very delicate & would not last 5 minutes with any child,Think I need a glass dome for them but that would overprice them. Decisions Decisions!!!!

  19. I like it Denny you did a very neat job on that one.
  20. I also use one of those 2" foam paint rollers & very sparingly load it with PVA glue ,find it works just fine for me .I use a small plastic box as a tray.
  21. If you cut out the patterns & bend along the dotted line you will find that you need 1 1/4" square for the houses & 3/4" square for the birds,that's if you have the same patterns as I have( Diana Thompson)

  23. Thought I would have a go at these birdhouses a lot of you seem to be cutting . Bought some patterns & this is my attempt at it ,Made about 12 & sold 5 the first day so thinking they might be a good seller.Also made the hanger out of a couple of hanging flower baskets to display them.
