  4. This is a pattern by Sam Custodio, I thought that I would try something a bit different & hence the red background & the white cutting.I have sold it already to my best customer to join the rest I have sold him . This is number 19 that he has bought off me, he lines his office with them .He also has a couple of Harleys set up in his home.I think he might like motorcycles. Cheers Peter

  16. You are a bit of a Romeo Roly. Nicely done.
  17. Yes Dick they are small round headed brass nails put there mainly for a bit of decoration & secondly if the glue ever fails they would hold it together but mainly just for show. I use 4mm Marine Ply for the cutting & 9mm MDF for the backing. Cheers Peter
  18. I am fine thanks Marg ,just very busy doing other stuff. The fires are not close to us thank god & thank god for all our firefighters some who have paid the ultimate price. Cheers Peter
  19. Gary I used 4mm Marine ply with a 9mm MDF backing. Thankyou.
  20. Dan my repair jobs must have been better than I thought. Thanks Peter.
  21. This one is from a pattern by H.Botas Size is 11" x 16" & was cut mainly with Silver Reverse 2/0 Blades & a 3/0 spiral blade in a few places. Made a few mistakes but think it came out ok in the end. I stack cut 2 of them and both are sold already to my very good customer & one of his workmen.
  22. Thank you for the tip Jim, I have put magnetic sheet over the table with a very small blade hole . maybe the ply we can get down here is not up to the quality of your Baltic Birch ply, even if it is Marine ply. Cheers Peter
  23. I have been having trouble sometimes with small pieces breaking out on the back of the plywood in delicate patterns even with reverse tooth blades. I have been experimenting with painting a slightly watered down PVA glue mixture & when dry sanding smooth again . I may be imagining but it does seem to hold things together better. Maybe this could work on the front as well as it does not seem to alter the colour of the ply .
  24. Just went & checked mine Marg The set screw hole looks the same as yours .I tried it with a small allen key & it seemed to connect to the screw which I think is deep in the hole. I turned the nut on the end of the shaft & the part you are worried about turned with it .So I think if yours turns also & feels tight you may have to look elsewhere. What John said about the other screw makes sense to me . Hope you find the trouble soon . I also looked it up in the parts list in my manual & it is called the Balance Block & it does have a set screw. Cheers Peter
  25. Wow Marg that is one detailed cutting ,no wonder we have not seen a post from you, that one would have kept you busy for a while. lovely work, one lucky grandson.
