  2. No Frank I bought the image from Vectorstock & cut it out from 3/4" radiata pine then sanded ,painted etc. There is about 30 pieces glued together in this one Cheers Peter.

  6. Lovely job on that one John .I have done a few of Ned myself as my son is a big fan of his. Add another one to the list who dislikes the Jagger version of Ned.
  7. The font looks to me like Bird of paradise if not it is very similar.
  8. Bob the pattern is an american one & they call themselves Toys & Joys .I actually got the pattern from a friend who makes a lot of these type of toys.Cheers Peter

Just finished this one .It seemed to take me ages but I finally got there .The reason I am showing it is because of the large amount of Scroll Saw work involved in it.I am Quite happy about how it turned out but doubt if i would attempt something like this again .I have plenty of patience for my Scroll Saw work but not for something like this. My second attempt at inlaying work ,I am still having a bit of trouble setting the correct angle ,It usually takes me many test cuts to get it just right.Made this one for my partners birthday coming up shortly. The woods are radiata pine & what I have been told is blackwood & is a very fine dark chocolate coloured wood that came from an old drawer front that i have had for years.The bowl section was done on my lathe & it is all finished with a rubbing oil.
