  3. Brad best wishes to you mate & hope you get better soon. From the other side of the world.
  4. This one was more of a challenge than I thought, made a few errors on the painted one, some small pieces came out from the top layer of the ply, repaired them with filler but the colour was slightly different so decided to paint it with my air brush.Interested in what you think of it.The second one was a lot better .They say you learn from your mistakes. Mainly cut with #2 Skip tooth blades & a bit with spirals. I made the frame of the second one from Australian Red Gum The pattern came from Woodworkers workshop.Cheers Peter.
  5. That's different Marg ,good way to keep it all neat.Well done.
  6. You did a great job on this one Dick especially using a #1 blade I usually use a 3/0 spiral to do something like that.
  7. Well done Kevin just imagine what you could do if you got up early.
  8. Well done Marg & look after that foot.
  9. Wow that's a good find ,like finding treasure.
  10. That's a different slant on doing name plates I really like the way it looks & must try it myself.
  11. Very beautiful & intricate work Dick .
  12. I mainly use a matt black for my backers ,black i think makes them stand out better, but have also used different colours & felt . On some I use an oversize backer to give the effect of framing. On my more delicate fretwork projects i will frame them & also use glass to protect them
  13. Marg I bought a roll of clear shelf liner from Bunnings at $ 6.50 a roll. I have only tried it once & it did all that was reported here. Only complaint was the removal of the small bits especially in an intricate fretwork project. I will give it another go one day.
  14. Thanks to" Mikes Scrollsaw Patterns " for this one .Could not work out how to enlarge the PDF file to the 14 x 11 size it should be .The best I could get it to was 11 x 8 so it is a bit smaller than it should be. I used 3/0 spiral blades to cut this one. Cheers Peter.
  15. I would like to try box making with maybe inlay in the top . Just trying to gather the courage to give it a go.
  16. Beautiful work Jim still trying to get my head around how you do it.
  17. Thanks to Old Crow Scrollwerks for this pattern It took me 3 weeks on & off to complete this one .It is A4 size cut out of 4mm marine ply using 2/0 & 3/0 spiral blades.I also made the frame . This one was sold even before I had finished it. Cheers Peter.
