    Great job Jason. As an alternative to sanding try a card scraper. It’s faster, cheaper and produces a nice sheen. Just a suggestion.

    Hi. Most of my beading is done by hand as I’ve done on these frames with a Stanley beading tool made in 1885. I did purchase new blades for it from Lie-Nielsen. I also use a Stanley 45 combination hand plane which does a beautiful job. Power routers can do a lot but for some jobs only a beading tool or hand router will do it right. Search uTube for a lot of advice re: beading. Thank you.

    Two sets. First one is 10 ¾” x 7 ½” and ½” thick (wood unknown). Second is9 ½” x 7” and ½” thick (Pine). Finished with a polyurethane satin finish. Sides were beaded and the back stained Dk Walnut.

    Box size is 9” x 5 ¼” x 3 ½” high. Done in Maple and Walnut. Finished with polyurethane satin.

    Same here. My two day show scheduled in April is cancelled. Wait and see if my show in May is canceled to. Bummer.

    I use black foam (from Michaels) . Most of my portraits are framed so foam works well for me, just cut to size and no glue needed. The ones that are not framed I use BB air brushed to desired color.

    Been there like I'm sure many of us have but for me I have never done anything that intricate. And honestly I don't think I ever will. Regardless of the mishaps that do and will happen again you did a one AWESOME job Paul. Your next one will be PERFECT.
