  1. I haven't heard of one either.
  2. Yet another of my Sheila Landry projects.. She must be making a living off all the patterns of hers I keep buying. LOL
  3. Welcome Sammy!
  4. Another Sheila Landry design... Hope you all like it. 1/2" white oak with 1/8" baltic ply for the spiders.
  5. Nicely done DW. So what process do you use to get the flocking to look so even?
  6. Very nice. You always seem to get some nice clear pics too. Makes me jealous.
  7. I got a couple pallets years ago, when I was working at a store that sold woodworking stuff, and the big Delta and Jet table saws would come in, and the runners on the pallets would be purple heart. It's like pine to them over there. So I took them all apart and kept the purple heart. Made for good turning stock. Just had to cut out the nail sections, but nothing too bad.
  8. Thanks Dan. I made the wolf for me. Can you tell I like Sheila Landry's designs? I think 90% of my patterns are from her.
  9. Been kinda busy, but just haven't taken many pics lately, so here are the new projects.
  10. Excellent job.
  11. I'd prob have a heart attack if I had to human power my scrollsaw. LOL
  12. We'll sit in our special corner Helen..
  13. Good point on the WD-40 Travis.
  14. If any of you wax your saw table, to keep it rust free, and make the wood glide over it better, Could you tell me what you use, and how often you do it? I'm using Johnson Paste Wax, and I'm finding I need to do it every 3-4 weeks or I can tell the wood doesn't slide as smooth over the table anymore.... Anyone else do this?
  15. Ok.. I'm gonna sound real stupid, but I've never seen that, and cant' quite figure it out.. I'm guessing it's .... cowpie.. not sure of the first.
  16. On my Dewalt 788, I run the saw pretty much at speed 4-5 no matter what I'm cutting. it's not terribly fast, but not real slow. Seems to work for me. I use this for pretty much any sized blade. #2/0 - #5.
  17. My parents live in Florida. Mid state bout an hour NW of Orlando.
  18. These are White Tail Designs patterns. Both are 1/4" cherry with 1/8" birch backers. Both are about 7" x 9".
  19. Very nice.
  20. That's what I was using DW. took me 4 tries just to get the blades to stay in the blade holder on the DW788 saw. I would tighten it down, move the tension to 3.5 and the bottom blade wold pop out. So when I did get it to hold, I still wasn't impressed with the cut. seems that even the paper pattern it was tearing. I'll just stick with the 2/0R blades for now. They left a glass smooth cut. May even go to just a 2R on the larger areas where i can use larger holes.
  21. I tried some spiral blades tonight. Wanted to see how they did for cutting the portrait Jolette made me months ago.. Didn't like the finish they left in the 1/4" BB. Gonna stick to a #2/0R blade.
  22. That's pretty nice. Do the gears actually turn if you try to spin them?
  23. OTHER forums? *GASP*!! LOL. I only visit this one. It's got all the stuff I'm looking for.
  24. I love my DW788 that I picked up used. It was very well taken care of. At first I wasn't sure I was going to use the footswitch that came with my DW, but after I figured out how I was going to mount it to the sawstand, I find it sooo much easier than using the top switch. Btw, nice name theladywolf, hehe, and I have a few items that were made out in Olympia Washington.. out at Olympic Arms.. as you can tell from my avatar.
  25. So tell us more.. what type of woods?
