  1. I have a Rousseau insert for my 3 1/4hp router. Spins raised panel bits and the insert works great.
  2. Don't look at me for organization.. But I try to get as many of my patterns as a digital pattern so I can just print what I want. I'm much better organized when it comes to computer files then paper.. but any of the patterns I don't get digital, and most of the ones I do, I also keep in binders. I keep them in clear sleeves with the front of the sleeve being a picture of it.. so when I'm looking for something to cut, I just flip through the pages and see what I feel like working on. Then I'll either print out the pattern or copy it.
  3. I've seen those ornaments!!! Cut about 48 of them this year.. Dont' want to see them again till next year. LOL
  4. I don't see any table inserts either Deena. Did see one post where the person suggested using 3/8" thick plexi to make the base... and then just mount that plastic in a frame that you can clamp down to a bench.
  5. I haven't seen it no.
  6. You could try the Dremel router table. for just doing 1/8" round overs, I'm sure it will prob do the job, and be fairly inexpensive compared to a full sized router table.
  7. I'm going to be the dissenter.. I prefer Olson blades. I do mainly cutting in Oak, Cherry, and Ash, 3/8" thick 99% of the time. I use Olson #2R and #2/0R blades for prob 98% of my cutting. I will use a #5R on rare occasion. I find that Olson has more TPI than FD on all the blades, and to me seems to cut corners and sharp turns better. But maybe it's just me. But that is my $.02.
  8. I was only using them cause I accidentally sucked up my tube of Olson #2R blades.. bout 4doz went clanging through, and I had orders to cut. My new Olson blades arrived today. I prefer Olson.. Seems the FD blades to me don't turn as well as the Olson ones.
  9. That's cute.
  10. I'm going to be using some FD #1 sroll reverse blades. But compared to Olson blades, I find it much harder to see the tooth direction. The blades have a short flat end and a longer flat end. Is the short side the top of the blade?
  11. I've never heard of either brand. I would do some google searches and see if anyone anywhere is talking about theirs, and how old theirs are.
  12. They look nice. ery well done.
  13. Instead of plywood, I would suggest you could use a nice piece of acrylic. Should be really smooth, act as a zero clearance, and easily replaceable. Since the top is already so pitted, you won't feel bad if you like used a spray adhesive to hold the acrylic down to the top.
  14. Very very nice. How long did it take to cut the larger ones?
  15. Oh look.. more Sheila Landry designs by me. LOL I enlarged them to 135% so they are about 7.5x9 inches. both pics are unfinished. I am just applying a clear poly over them, so they don't look a whole lot different than unfinished. Hope you all enjoy.
  16. I'm trying to figure out how to heat my garage so I can keep working during the winter.. But so far, it does not look like it's going to be cost effective.
  17. I prefer Olsen.. and I get mine from Sloans Woodshop
  18. Very nicely done.
  19. I have the candy cane one too... I'm really pushing off doing it.. just so many of those tiny swirls.. very boring to cut it would seem.
  20. You beat me to that candle tray!! I have it, just have not had the time to cut it yet. LOL
  21. I looked at a new can of it yesterday.. and it's the same green color.. Maybe they changed their formula or something. I think I need to find a new paste wax.. anyone got a suggestion?
  22. I like the contrasting color of the wolves too. And I'm partial to wolves in general. LOL.
  23. very nice DW.
  24. Hey Dan, It's made from 3/8" thick Ash. There may be a way to stack cut, but where the center of it is bevel cut, that wouldn't work with the stack cutting. The only thing I can think, is once you get the centers and outside cut, then you would have to get them lined up good, then clear packing tape to hold them together. But 3/4" thick ash with those curves might be hard to cut.
  25. It's not a race, but when your trying to get ready for a fair.. it would help to go faster. LOL. Plus I only charge $25 for a painted tray and $20 for one not painted.
