  1. My fiancee would prob enjoy that.
  2. Don't have a pin nailer. I do have an 18ga brad nailer, and it split the test letters.. the white cedar is very soft and splits easily from what I saw.
  3. TBIII is Titebond 3.
  4. Awesome. I'll use TBIII. I don't have any liquid nails Travis, and I don't think I can keep the stuff from squeezing out all over the letters.
  5. Didn't think the wood glue would stick to painted wood.. I have some TBIII that I used to glue up the back panel.
  6. So I've got all the stuff scrolled out, the back piece is painted, and all the letters and stuff are painted. I did some testing, and if I try to use a nail gun to hold the letters to the sign, they will just split. I was thinking Gorilla glue, but that expands, and I'm sure will expand out from under the letters.. Any suggestions? My next thought is epoxy..
  7. I've never gone that far over on mine. Most I usually do is 3.5 - 4 degrees. I did do 22 degrees at one point, but never 45.
  8. I am partial to cherry myself... Cherry with a black backer just looks so nice.
  9. Nice start Kevin.
  10. I like that idea too.. gonna have to try it on my next stack cut.
  11. Yepp, I tossed my hold down foot when I bought the saw. I never used it. Just be careful cutting smaller pieces. If your not real comfortable, cut the smaller pieces from a large piece that you have more wood to hold and keep your fingers away from the blade. Cute bear.
  12. A lot of the pro signs are made from MDO.
  13. If you make the pattern into a pdf, adobe reader print has "Poster" option, and it will print it for you, with registration marks in the corners. I used it with my chili master sign. It was a jpg, I imported it into a pdf, then printed poster option. But still a great tutorial.
  14. I can't believe how straight you got those letters... amazing.
  15. That would take me like 20 hrs to cut.. LOL
  16. That's awesome..
  17. I have yet to cut a portrait, so I'm not sure my skill would do it any justice. I also seem to have like 1/20th the scroll saw time now.. Last sping I was down there 4-5 days a week, Now I'm lucky to get down there 2-3 times a month... :(
  18. I spray all mine with Satin Poly
  19. Bout a year and a half.. maybe Two by now...
  20. Awesome find.
  21. I really like the loon mirror
  22. Very nice. I like them.
  23. What glue are you using? The couple times I tried doing the 3M #77 to the pattern, then to the wood, I had to soak it in mineral spirits to get it off, then it seemed like it took days for the spirits to evaporate all the way prior to finishing. Maybe I used too much glue, or didn't let it tack up long enough...
  24. Can I use my North American Slapping Trout instead? (A close relative to the rainbow) /slap
