Welcome Angeka. I was about your age when I started scrolling. I am now 75 so you have a hobby that will last you for a long time The best advice I have is Use a good saw blade like the flying douchman or Olson bot are good bladesand you can't find them in a big box store. som buy them off the internet, blut I have a woods craft store where i get them. Keep your speed down till lyou get a little better it won't take long. and wax your table. and finally if you have any questions post them We will answer them.

Welcome to the Village from OHIO.I just retired a year ago at the age of 75. worked 10 years part time. I ended up working 18 hours every other week. I have been scrolling for the past 35\45 years and still learning and this is a good place to learn. any dquestions ask there is no dumb dquestions. one thing we do like is pictures of your work and saw.

I wish i had a cabnet shop to git my wood from it would save a lot of plaining. I would be willing to pay for it.

i DO HAVE SOME PRODUCTION WORK ON nATIVITY SCENES, BUT OTHER THAN THAT i MAKE WHATEVER I FEEL LIKE MAKEING.. i DO HAVE SOME LEFT OVER STUFF BUT i WILL SELL ABOUT HALF OF THEM THIS YEAR AND THEN GIVE AWAY MOST OF THE REST. i DON'T FEEL LIKE IT IS WORK i WILL MAKE ABOUT 40 OR 50 NATIVITY SCENES THIS YEAR BUT THAT WILL BE SCATTERED THRU ABOUT 8 MONTHS tHAT IS LESS THAN 2 PER MONTHS.

I get a lot of my wood at a saw millIt is all good wood mostly 5/4 by 6 to 8 in some 4 in. the only problem is I have to let it air dry. some has been at the mill for a good period of time so when it get's down to about 10% moister I plain it down. 4 mo to 12 of my drying time.

Sorry about your craft salw. I don't do many sales other than one at the vocatial school, in the spring. Most of my sales are Christmas time .( October thru Dec 15. ) I have found out that $20 to $25 sale but over that it is a slow sale. From what I have seen of your work is that it is worth a lot more than $25. IKE
