  6. The best scroll saw I bought was a Craftsman I bought in the early 80"s. I wore it out I 2012,( I paid $250 for it) I looked at the Craftsman's and they didn't show me much not near what I had before. So I bought a Porter Cable kept it for a year and it wore out it was still under warranty but I junked it any way. I now have a DW 788 It is a good saw had a little problem with it but it was fixed under warranty I guess I would recommend the DW788
  7. Welcome from Ohio. I too have scroll in for 30 + years, only I don't know s whole lot of tricks just the plain old ordinary scrolling. go ahead and tell me the tricks, I don't know if I know any tricks but I am willing to learn..
  8. When I buy patterns it is usually from the Wooden Teddy Bear.
  9. Do you use a dust mask. I had problems with them fogging up my glasses until I found one at H.D. it cost $30 but it is worth it. I recommend them to everybody. With Asthma problems.
  10. Love the tanks. Did you ever try using lemon oil on the tanks, it darkens them up and brings out he grain. non the less i do like the tanks the way they are.

That is a beautiful wolf , thanks for showing
  19. I go 3 pcs of 1/4 plywood ( 3 pcs is a little less than 3/4 thick) Don't have any problems with the bottom pce. I tired 4 pcs and the bottom one was off., t helps if you use clear packing tope over your pattern it cools the blade and it cuts better.
  20. You are doing fine before long you will be doing Fret work.

    Nice cutting thanks for shoeing
  22. I CAN CHANGE BLADES ON THE 788IN LESS THAN A MINUTE AS LONG AS I DON'T PUT THE BLADE IN UPSIDE DOWN.
  23. AS I SAID IN OTHER POSTS I USE A #3 that IS A LOT SMALLER THAN YOU ARE USEING. EVEN A #5 IS TOO LARGE FOR 1/4 PLYWOOD. A #3 HAS 20 TPI AND A#7 HAS 10TPI THAT IS YOUR BIGEST PROBLEM
  24. I use a #3 most of the time but I do have $4.5.7, I seldom use a #7 .
  25. Keep up the good work . Maybe you will get into the Name Game and give Kevin some good compaction. I can just see him mopping around because he got beat by a Grand Mother. Keep going.
