  5. It looks like you may be useing pine for yur puzzles. I use Popular it is easier to work with and the squareness of the blade is real important , I use an old combinaation square head to dheck squareness I use white paper in back of the blade and get the blade as square as I possibly can, The speed I use is on the high end, blades don't last as long but it helps and is worth the blade. do not force the blade and you will have no problem. IKE

  9. If I were to make a counter top it would be with hard maple. Popular is a nice wood to work with and is fairly a cheep wood about the same price as pine only it stains better and is better to work with. but not for counter tops. IKE

IKE
  14. Be natural and friendly greet the customer with a smile be aware of what they are interested in and show it dto them let them handle it . Just be a nice person and you will make sales. Don't sit in your booth and read a book or salve a puzzle. but be friendly pass out cards. It it's a women give them a little something. I useally take 100 or so oven pulls. and Give them to a woman if she showes any intrest. I have my name and email address on mine. I don't know if it has ment any sales but I just use scrap 1/4 ply and little time to make some one happy .IKE
  15. yu have a winner there IKE
  16. I can sharpen the larger drill bits but the small ones are too cheep to mess with When it burnes the hole you are going much too fast. Drilling small holes in ply wood requires a slower speed than useal it's the glue thats is the big problem. IKE
  17. I have two saws luse one rot the fret work tanthe other for generas use. I use a foot pedal but move it back from one saw to another . it is my most important assory after the drill press. IKE
  18. I use #3 & #5 match baldes ( Olsons) I use baltic berch ply on orniments with either # 5 on baltic it is a harder ply and you con cut only stacking 2 , Baltic ply is .245 thick and the cheeper ply from HD and Lowes is .185 which is 3/16 thick. Baltic makes a orniment look much nicer. dthe baltic isn't much higher in cost than the better ply's at lowes I can get baltic ply for $20 for a 5X5 sheed and the lowes is $18 to $20 for a 4X8 sheet that is $0.17 difference. the output quility is worth it. IKE
  19. I have used the cheep clear both sides ad stck them for fret work most ;of the times they have voids in the and in fretwork you loos that piece. This plywood is .193 inch sthick. I like useing Baltic ply it is .248 inch Thickwith no voidsit is a harder plywoodand i only stack 2 pieces .
  20. I have been cutting for over 30 years and never used anything on my blades and they useally last 30 min. or so. Tried packing tape but couldn't see much difference in the blade cutting. But I don't cut at top speed very often I useally yuse speed #5 on my DW 788. IKE
  21. The only time that i have olsons blades not cutting sreight is when I put them in upside wown. I run mostly at the #5 speed on my d.w. 788 but when cutting puzzles I run on high speed when cutting out the letters. have tried all the different blades except the jshark tooth blades and I prefer olsons then F.D. On woods like Cherry I cut the speed down to prevent burning. IKE
