  15. I make my stuff then sell it . i never take special orders for something I have not made and priced before. that puts too much pressure on the hobby. I try to set the price at $12 per hour. at that rate I usually come out $800 to $1000 ahead of cost at the end of the year. But if i have never made the item before I will not take special orders. and then I don't like special orders while makeing it cI could be mak;ing something new . IKE
  16. The wooden teddybear has them also IKE
  17. The way I price things is by what the market will bare. Another way is the cost of materials X 5, and other is the cost of materials + what you want per hour.. IKE
  18. Cutting that size material I use a #7 on what ever is your choice of blades. Do you have a vice to hold them in , Steve Good has one. some people just use tape to hold them i didn't have much luck that way. IKE

  20. My backup saw bit the dust but the weather hasn't been too cold for me to work, my shop isn't heated, and when I can get into the shop I have been cleaning. IKE
  21. about 3 weeks ago I posted that my saw quit running then started up again then stopped again. I checked the speed control , power switch, the main board didn't show any problems and I couldn't smell anything at the motor , The brushes were good, so i took it to the repair shop and today I called them and the motor was bad and it is on order, My bill will be almost 1/2 the price of a new saw. I figure that I have about 1300 hours on it, so i guess that is pretty good. IKE
  22. I never check where my tension is set. after a while you can tell by the pressure you put on the tension handle if it is right.
