I use this saw for my back up I bought it at a garage sale for $150 . I knew the owner so I had a knowledge of the saw, ike
  13. I don't know what you expect in cutting mini bird housed. it takes me about 5 minutes to cut a bird house the big time is the prep work cutting blanks , applying pattern. drilling holes. i use a Steve Good fixture to hold the bird while cutting.
  14. I use mostly olsons but some FD blades. I like FD #7 skip tooth better than olsons .for 3/4 and upp I use a # 7R blsde but on the fret work I use Olson s #3,5, i don't use big box store blades most are a inferior grade blade, Menards handle Olson's and that is where I get them. FD blades are alittle more agressive than Olson's IKE
  15. I started about 40 years ago. I bought al saw and can't remember the brand but it was pretty proximity and cost about $5 used only used pined blades. cut only shapes and got them out of magi zines and coloring books I then went to a sears saw then upgraded to a better sears which took both types blades Thats when I begin to learn more.then to a 21" sears which I used for about 20 years. bought a Porter cable, It was a piece of junk the waarentee wasn't much more than ended and it went to pot bought a DeWalt 788 I now have 2 Dewalt 788 one for backup and using out doors IKE

  21. I have a Dremel router I use it for places that my 10 in drill press won.t reach. When cutting fretwork a hand drill won't work for me I can't keep it straight enough . but the drimel plunge router does just fine.
