  1. I'm sure others will chime in here, but I know there is a type 1 and a type 2. I'm still using my old craftsman. Hmmmmmm that's not too far from my house....... Pete
  2. Yup me too! Light coats, from different angles, smooth between coats (I use the paper from a brown grocery bag). Pete
  3. Every thing you need, very well organized. Pete
  4. Nicely cut, I like your lettering. Pete
  5. Nice cutting, the shepherd's hook looks like it would be scary to cut... Pete
  6. A small trinket box for my niece, made from 7 layers of mahogany and padauk with a polymer clay inlay. Pete
  7. This is really cool Ron. Larry's right, I looked at it 3 or 4 times. The framing is unique, and I like the 3D of the photo. I hope you don't mind if I borrow some of your ideas... Pete
  8. Beautiful cutting board, I like the contrasting woods. Never seen sapel. Pete
  9. Nice job. I really like the layered patterns. Pete
  10. I think you found the problem, you say you used the same blade for a few projects, I usually use a few blades on a single project. They're cheap, that's why you buy them by the dozens. Pete
  11. I see you had a truckload of "Little Debbie" snacks and treats brought in to stock up on "fishing suplies". Have fun, but careful, we already had a guy break through the ice and drown just a bit north of here. Pete
  12. Nice job on the coasters. I live in the Minneapolis area too, and the Vikings are making it quite difficult to be a fan this year...... 2 wins, 8 losses so far. Pete
  13. Reminds me of an old James Stewart movie "Harvy", he had a 6' rabbit, unfortunatly no one else could see it...... Pete
  14. Nice job, I like the coloring. Pete
  15. Even more awsomeness Kevin, it's like Christmas every day! Can't wait to see what's in tomorrow's box. Pete
  16. Nice job on the box, I've attempted similar.... but failed Pete
  17. I keep my 50/50 mix of BLO & mineral spirits in a mason jar. Like Travis I use a disposable foil roasting pan (but I wipe it out & reuse it) and just submerge the item for a minute or two, take it out and let dry. Pour it back in the jar for next time. I sometimes dab off excess with a cotton rag. Pete
  18. Kevin, you really are amazing! How many more of these boxes do you have?????? Pete
  19. Nice job! I like the addition of the nesting material inside. Pete
  20. Yes it does, as long as I aim the can to the back and paint in short bursts. 95% of the fumes as well, which was the main reason for it. There is a lazy susan (turntable) in there as well.
  21. Nice job on the patterns, cutting and subject matter. 3 greats, 2 taken too soon. Pete
  22. Made the little box for spraying adhesive on patterns and for applying finishes, paint, lacquer, shellac etc... It's about 20" high, wide, deep. There is a 4" air space (plenum) behind the filters (2) to help distribute the air evenly. It is vented to the outside of the house with a dryer type vent. The chain on top is for hanging small items. I will be lining the inside with butcher paper so I can replace it often. Here in Minnesota you can't always go outside to spray. Pete
  23. Looks very nice, how will the BB be protected from the elements? What finish did you use? Pete
  24. Made this as a gift for a buddy that helped me out. 1/4" BB ply, letters cut out and glued in place (after paint). Pete
  25. Wow, very nice, I would be scared to pick it up, very fragile. Pete
