  10. Edward just say you did it on purpose it part of the puzzle you have to figure out how it goes in or your going to have to tediously sand the part until it fits. Roly
  11. Luis you must be very excited to get started as for the bench make your own design from solid construction, Google workbenches and click on pictures they are loads you can choose from and you can take parts from each design if you want and make it to fit the lathe mine is just bolted to a wooden bench I made, I have another made from Dexion metal bolted together with a wooden top Have fun making yours don't forget somewhere to hold all the chisels to hand. Roly
  12. I'll be honest with ya, I just don't bother about clearing oil or paint before gluing because the parts are so small there's not enough weight & pressure on them to break apart. If it is a large part then yes as it has more weight and easy to break apart. Just my opinion. Roly

  24. Aren't Mums great, you make sure you buy her a big bunch of flowers and take her out for a meal. You will miss mums big time when they're gone. I know both my parents have passed on God Bless them. The first thing is to make something nice for her.
  25. If you wooden turn pens it's used to coat and fill voids, you would put it on with a bit of tissue spin it by hand all along the piece then fire up the lathe and hold a clean piece on it moving along and it dries hard with a rubbish smell as it goes off then sand it lightly and coat over the top with friction polish if your not happy do it again the more coat the more the gloss and job done. Roly
