Multifasited replied to DWSUDEKUM's topic in Bragging Rights
It looks like here all kind of banks around and I don't have any money in any of them either LOL ,Great job on all of them ! -
Some one told be You have a bridge over there ,but I don't know how big you loft is ,but should keep you out of mischief for quite a spell ,they tried to get me do it , but I have 3 now ,no where as impressive as that bridge ,I can't think the name of ( Some timers creeping in again )!

It's a minor job ,easy to fix ,just not as much fun as buying another saw ,you can't fix your self for free ! But hey ! if you feel the need to have a spare ,or two You must make a hell of a lot of money at it . Anything mechanical has issues from time to time ,Mines a hobby ,thats all part of owning HOBBY stuff .You Pro's that make a living sawing ,past the HOBBY class and entered the business class , I have not heard of any one hiring additional help to expand and keep up with the overflow of business ,and adding on for additional Growth ! Some may ,if so ,it's a closely guarded secret !

Thank you ,Neptun ,for another outstanding light house pattern ,I hope I did it justice , My wife loves it too! I got to tell you buddy that stern flag was a bugger ! I am terrible about names ,so forgive me for not recalling your name , A fellow posted about ,my saw & contraption ,being able to be in his living room ,So if there ain't a pix it didn't happen,Heres the saw in my computer room in the house as I described ,That it was house broken . super nice ,winter and summer ! Now ,he knows , wasn't blowing smoke !

That should produce so interesting tight corners ,and some super straight lines ! The best exercise in the world for weight control is not a tread mill ,It's pushing you BUTT away from the table ! Not the scroll saw table either ! Good Luck on is easy OFF is not so!
-
Good luck my friend on your new adventure ,You have a slight advantage over most of us ,when things get out of hand ,You can Smile brightly and cuss them out in espanyol and they won't know it !
-
Choice set , I am afraid ,you will be working with only one eye ,while keeping the other on the tools .I have never been successful in that endevor ,some how murphy get's in the game and things happen by magic and not always good things all you can do is try ,fear is a good motivator ,But alas before you know it it's same old same old .If you ever accomplish it pass It on many here have same problems.

Another great pattern my friend ,My wife collects Lt. houses ,so I had to do it right away ! Spring Crappie season getting close so had to have my sign done !Wife was not real impressed ,so the light house softened the sign appeal !.

for serious dust collection on your scroll saw!
Multifasited replied to Multifasited's topic in Bragging Rights
Making progress on the video ,although ,wondering ,if worth the effort ,actual interest seems to be more curiosity ,than actually doing anything about the issue , which is the ultra fine dust atomized by the air supplies ,blowers and cross fans and sucker fans with filters and funnel contraptions mounted with octopus configurations to straddle ,remote control switching to turn on second shop vacs. noise to the point, that ear protection is needed to operate system that gets most of the VISiBLE dust , which is a mess ,but only the minor part of the real problem ,few people could inhale that stuff with out their nose clogging shut ! The seriously concerned ,seem to have gone with very expensive face filters and space type helmets ,which stops the lung damage with all the comfort of that goes with wearing those devices ,and requires Replaceing expensive cartridges Then vac.ing off self after each use and the equipment .Plus sealing appliance from the elements between uses .Perplexing at least ,to each his own , about the only thing I have NOT seen so far is a CLAPPER remote used . Others ,have chosen to ignore the issue altogether , that method ,I have tried and used long enough to push the envelope past it's return . Current Health issues will not allow ,any of the half measures for me any more .I am not selling anything ,the Price you have paid at this point is zilch ,It was an attempt to solve a serious issue DIY style as cheaply and as completely as possible ,with out altering any machines abilities or their access . the idea of patients and making money with it never entered my mind ,It was some thing I had to do for me to be able to continue Scrolling ,and I was passing it along to simplify and enhance the pleasure of scrolling ,for all members , and stop some of the down sides of the operations of scroll saw ,and making it as dust free as possible with out all the unnecessary extra contraptions and the space & costs they require ! Thanks for the kind words ,It really is finer than FROG HAIR , I think ,I get back to scrolling and make some DUSTLESS treasures .Carl -
Most done this morming,3 in afternoon

At this rate you are going to have to bend over more or raise the roof Or hire some more termites ! Well done on the signs ,just pulling your leg ! -
I agree too Gator ,thats about the best covered bridge pattern I have seen ,is it by you ?
-
Without trying to be a know it all or a Smart Ass ,my question is ,When you can stop the dust at it's source and contain it w/o masks and resparators ,to cure your breathing the stuff and then having to vac yourself off and clean the room why not cure the complete process in one fell swoop cheaper and easier then the alternatives ,but to each his own !

for serious dust collection on your scroll saw!

Now ,If I have and investor ,the best part about this is I believe I could do this to any half way modern saw ,now that I have done all the ground work ! -
for serious dust collection on your scroll saw!
Multifasited replied to Multifasited's topic in Bragging Rights
Your absolutely right ,but things get tippy and you lose control ,if I were going to attempt that I stack some card board pcs the size of my project then it could cut thur the whole thing and still be stable and easy to cut thru with a dull lower portion of the blade ,just depends on the extra time you want to invest ! ! -
I ,finally am totally satisfied with my dust free scroll saw ,finial tweeks and ultimate test ,as the ultimate test of dust collection ,I chose concrete siding ,That stuff is about the toughest and dustiest stuff ,makes MBF ,CHILDS PLAY, ! terrible on blades as you can imagine ,used #5 spiral w/ vac off (what a pile in just seconds ) vac.ed that up ,changed blade as it was really dull in short order ,turned system on and did it again .not a spec of dust ,upper or lower . Then I went to an Iron man blade ,no dust blade lasted longer before dulling .Point is if ,it will get all the concrete dust ,thats about as good as it gets ! So ,the last tweeks cleaned up looks and extra flexs out of the parascope . Very user friendly , auto bottom loader lite flawless ,total swing away for complete access to saw table ,nothing in the design impedes access or disrupts any function of the original or operation of the saw ! LIte and mag repeat ,but are still adjustable ,and also swing clear ,between loads . trying to capture on video ,but to this point ,with what I have to work with needs a lot of work before I would attempt to post ,so maybe with out video IT don't exist . AT this point ,I can honestly tell you everything, I have seen posted anywhere & on you tube or forums a good start in dust collection ,but has a long way to go ! Heres pix,s of the system as it is now !

Well done , great pattern ,thanks for sharing ! You want to have some fun thread sone snap clothes pins thru the center of the spring on a small cable or wire tight horizonal to a drive in fence post 15 -20 ft from your feeder tighten the wire between the two and clip some peanuts (whole in the shell) in the snap clips spread along the wire and watch the antic as the squirels and blue jays get the peanuts it's a riot !
-
When you get them make sure you set set screw correctly ,DEAD FLUSH w/blue lock tight ,and use anti-sieze compound on the clamp screw threads only !That will add 3 times the life to the unit !

I think i lost one somewhere in my pile
Multifasited replied to amazingkevin's topic in Bragging Rights
You don't need a vac.system you need a chipper ,you woud have a mulch pile that would be the envy of all the residents and a second income !!
