  1. Nicely done. There are a few 'hold your breath' cuts in it , like around the fishes eye and on the frog's feet. I like how it turned out quite well. I was thinking about the conversation about the grain possibly rising if it was washed in an additional color and the thought occurred to me that perhaps that would be what one might hope would happen, considering this is supposed to by under water and looking skyward. It might add even more realism to the pattern. Dick heppnerguy
  2. a very nice pattern that is well cut and framed very well. You should have made a stack cut with this as I bet your wife would really like one as well. Dick heppnerguy
  3. Sue Mey puts out a lot of really great patterns. I have several of hers. This Kleenex box is really a delicate and interesting one, indeed. Easy to see why you have a happy wife and are enjoying it yourself. Way to go. Dick heppnerguy
  4. I like them all but my favorite if the one with the doves and hearts. It is probably one of the quicker and easier ones to cut, that you have posted but this one has the best appeal to me. Nice projects. They should do really well in a sale. Dick heppnerguy
  5. Those are all very well done. I think there is still time for me to make some ornaments too. Great job. Dick heppnerguy
  6. Brenda is one of our helper hero's here in The Village. Nicely cut and designed . Dick heppnerguy
  7. I too, have cut a couple of Sam's illusion patterns. Sam is always happy to share his patterns for free. Nice work on this one Dick heppnerguy
  8. I love that so many people are more than happy to help each other in any way they can, here in The Village. The very reason so many people enjoy logging on often. Dick heppnerguy
  9. Nice ornaments. Way over the ordinary ones you buy. Would be great tuck in gifts for your Christmas list Dick heppnerguy
  10. My hats off to you and Brenda for this nicely done sign. Everyone seems to love these. Thanks for posting so we all can enjoy it Dick heppnerguy
  11. your work is always done very carefully and well thought out. This little simple project is so well done that it is way above the average project. Keep making the sawdust and showing us your results. You seem to be gathering a lot of fans here Dick heppnerguy
  12. very well cut on both projects. The Mike Williams patterns are always outstanding when they are cut as his pattern work always produces a wonderful end piece. Thank you for taking the time to post them Dick heppnerguy
  13. It is a fun project that bring a smile to my face when I view it. I think everyone should enjoy seeing it and your father will no doubt really like it and appreciate that you made it for him Dick heppnerguy
  14. Looks like you have thing pretty much in order. Your shop is really nice and you have incorporated a lot great items. I particularly like your dust collection system and all the drawers for storing items. I bet you are just about ready to fire up the saw and get booking on some Christmas items for the family. Thanks for posting this nice tour of your new shop Dick heppnerguy
  15. Hey be careful what you say about my face.....even it you are right about it.. Dick heppnerguy
  16. Welcome back. I did the same thing a couple of years ago when we moved from Oregon to Arizona. I sold a lot of stuff to make sure we would have room on our truck. Unfortunately I got rid of a couple of tools that I regret selling. My bandsaw and my compressor. It turned out that we would have had the room of both of them but I just did not want to take the chance at the time. I still miss both of those items but would still like to have them back in my shop Dick heppnerguy
  17. I cut the same one that Paul (Scrappile) is trying to complete. I could not get mine to run either but I do still have the plans and I really like the wooden clocks. May give it another try, some day. Dick heppnerguy
  18. If you saved your pattern, you could just cut another one. They aren't that difficult to cut. Just a thought Dick heppnerguy
  19. I have looked at these sharpener tools and wondered it they were worth it to buy. I think at the price of the sharpener and the price of replacing the blades that with my lack of skill, I will stay with reversing my blades and replacing them when needed. As long as I am careful about what goes through my planer, I do not seem to have any trouble with making my blades last quite some time. If I felt I was more skilled with this type of thing, then maybe I would give it another consideration. That is just my take on it Dick heppnerguy
  20. I think most of us probably have several unfinished projects that are waiting our attention. Too many 'want to do' projects in our 'to do' lists. Dick heppnerguy
  21. I love seeing you trying new things with the scroll saw. Looking at the progress in your work, I do not think there is anything that you could not cut, if you wanted to Dick heppnerguy
  22. That is a cute pattern indeed. I am going to have to go to Kenny's site and see if I can find it Dick heppenrguy
  23. keeping the DeWalts humming I see. The usual nice quality work coming from you. Interesting assortment Dick heppnerguy
  24. 'Welcome to The Village. Glad you decided to stop here. We are friendly, and helpful. We love when someone new joins in on the fun. The Coffee House is always a good place to meet and get to know some of the regulars, if you have the time, be sure and check it out. Of course the pattern library and take a good luck at our chief cook and bottle washer's tutorials, should you be interested in giving pattern making a try. Hope to see you post often and respond to others as that is a great way for everyone to get to know you better and you us. Dick heppnerguy
  25. I have also been using the #3 PMG and found the even with BB Ply I do not have fuzzies and it is easy to cut 'on the line' with them. I just ordered some #3 and #5 as I am planning some compound cuts and they should do that really well. I will find out pretty soon Dick heppnerguy
