  1. Those look like just the ticket for them, with a lot of thought for them to explore along the way Dick heppnerguy
  2. I guess you will just have to come here some time and find out for yourselves.. I can understand why you might have a difficult time liking Southern Arizona where you can sit outside in the mornings wearing your shorts and drinking your coffee while feeding the fish from your patio. At least that is what we do. The summers are pretty hot and we do get a few days where you might take a light jacket out of your closet for awhile. Most trees do not loose their leaves in the winter and in January you see convertibles with their tops down and no windows rolled up to protect you from the chill. Here the cactus grow as high as trees and the palm trees decorate the yards. The climate is dry with no noticeable humidity. Yes I can see why you might not like Southern Arizona. there is a constant festival of some kind going on all through the winter months and a lot of interesting and wonderful places to visit. If you do not like fun, music, great restaurants, having to choose which fun thing you might like to go to today, being able to watch the major league teams doing their spring practice games, balloon rides and air craft fly-ins, you definitely would not like Southern Arizona. 13. I was thinking yesterday that I should be PM ing you again soon. I did not want to bother you too much but I did want to hear an update on you. Well, then I stumbled onto this thread and got the update I was looking for. It sounds like you are improving, even though you have a long way to go. So happy that Mary Ann is able to get back to work and be among all the people she knows and loves at the store. We lived in a small town in Oregon for 14 years before we moved to Arizona and I really understand what your wife is going through. People that have never lived in a small town do not understand the small town, community feeling, where everyone knows everyone and go to bat for them when needed. I just want you to know that Sharon and I have you covered in our daily morning talks with God and that He hears us and has answered many of our recent prayers with miracles. So just know He is listening and it still doing miracles for those who are asking. Much love to you and Mary Ann from Sharon and I. I think about you every day and through out my day and I am so happy that you are finally getting some good reports and encouragement from the doctors. You are right about the love and support found here in The Village. That is the main reason I try to always encourage new member to log on often so we can all get to know each other better and that way we pass along the feelings of a small town to those here. 14. Very curious about this new King saw. I hope you report on it every few months and let the rest of get an update on what you think of it, as time goes by. I trust you to let it out as it is and not cover up for any faults you may find. I think a lot of people might have an eye on this one to see if it is the same as the EX and how well it holds up Dick heppnerguy
  15. Welcome.. when we were first married we moved to Tacoma and then back to Portland. We recently moved to Casa Grande, Arizona. We have a sno bird neighbor who lives up by Seattle. I remember going to Seattle in 1962 and saw the Space Needle being built for the upcoming world's fair. My wife was born in Port Townsend. Glad you found us and we all hope you take a little of your time and drop in often so we all can get better acquainted with you and you with us. Dick heppnerguy

  21. Sam Custodio is one pattern maker who makes really nice patterns that are a little on the challenging lines but not too crazy, if you know what I mean. When Sam posted this pattern, it instantly opened a portal in my memory and I knew I would have to cut this pattern just for myself. This particular pattern was more challenging to me then I thought it would be. I am nearly out of blades that I usually use but just did not have the right frame of mind to wait for my blade order to arrive, so I went ahead and cut it anyway. As a result, I found it more of a struggle to cut then I thought it was going to be. I was really unsure about the "scenicruiser" words on the side of the bus because it looked pretty delicate for the blades I was using. Sam had the top of the letters unattached but because of the blades I was using, I extended the tops of the letters so they too were touching solid wood. I cut this in 1/4 inch BB Ply and the same for the backer board. I still need to through some finish on it but that will not change things enough to repost it. I hope this one shakes a few cob webs in the memories of others as it did in mine. Dick heppnerguy
  22. I really like the way it came out.. I sure hope I do not get hooked on these Dick heppnerguy
