  5. This is a great start, I knew I could rely on the village. Thank you.
  6. I went out with a friend today to a boat marina, little knowing that he had been talking behind my back. I was introduced to the Marina manager and after a short chat I was invited to have a stand at their forthcomming Boat Show. With minimum foot traffic expected to be 25000 people panic soon set in, I dont have enough stock to put on a decent 3 day show and I have nothing boaty, so my Plea is if any of you good people have any quick and easy ideas I could use, or quick and easy Maritime patterns I would be so eternally grateful to each and every one of you.Thanks.
  7. Like I said Don, a Wizard, I will have a go at both, thank you.
  8. That is absolutely great Don, you are truly a wizard, thank you very much.

  13. I have seen a picture of a tree with 10 hidden faces among the branches, I have seen one of a womans face made from tree branches and one of a baby incorporated into the undergrowth and shrubbery. Does anyone know of any more of this type of picture and where i might find them, thanks.
  14. A warm welcome to the village.
  15. Really nice, well done.
  16. Some of you may remember that I attended my first craft show earlier this year, well wonders will never cease, they have invited me back for another show at the end of this month. A big thanks to those who gave me encouragement, you know who you are. This one is to be themed around plants and flowers so i had better get working, not long to go. thanks again.
  17. Hi Ed, welcome.
  18. My first real attempt at converting a photo to a pattern and cutting it, heres the results...
  19. I put the pattern i was working on in the work in progress section, the pattern is now finished to the best of my ability and i have started cutting, i will post it soon and see what you think.
  20. I could do that could'nt I, post what I've done so far and see what you think, good idea travis.
  21. That is a fine piece of work, you should be proud.
  22. Thanks Don but I have to try first.
  23. I have now come to the conclusion that there are some very talented and patient people on this site. I have practised pattern making with Gimp and made a couple that just creep into the OK catagory. But recently a friend asked me to do a portrait of his two (grown up) kids, to make a pattern that has to have a good likness is proving to be very difficult, although i will be charging him mates rates i might have to add a few boxes of Asprin to the bill, if i ever succeed that is. So to all you pattern makers out there I award you a gold medal and hope that one day i may get close to your skills. I'll let you know how i get on.
  24. That is really very good, did you make the frame as well or cut the pattern to fit an existing frame, either way I love the end result.
  25. its beautiful. thanks for sharing.
