  1. It was my last show of the year, I was unsure about going as it is always a poor show, but I decided to try something different. I know this wont work for everyone but it certainly paid off for me. I put raffle tickets on half my stock, the winning tickets would end in a nought or a five. I sold the tickets at £1.00 each and sold 57 tickets with 14 winners, I also sold 7 full price non raffle items and came home with a smile on my face, not bad for a 6 hour one day sale in a school hall.
  2. Amazing and Beautiful, you should be very proud of yourself, well done.
  3. I always router and sand first.
  4. Great pieces of work, well done.
  5. works for me, great job.
  6. There are Two identical horse tack holders, only one shown. made from redwood with oak pegs, (sorry about the shadow) and one stable sign, made from redwood. Now I have been asked to do something similar for her daughters dolls house size stable toy, and some fencing, I can feel a headache coming on...
  7. Wow, what a picture, thanks for sharing.
  8. Thanks Tom, Although known for my heavy handedness my fear of breaking my saw was overcome by your advice, my new tension lever works well, thank you very much.
  9. The same star as my last post but now decorated.

My Christmas star, couldn't give you a pattern for this one as it was created by looking at a photo and drawing directly on to the wood. Maybe using your pattern programs you could create your own, hope you like it.
  12. Saw some simple ornaments in a local shop and thought, I can do that, so I did, not going to be much firewood left when I've finished.
  13. Thank you very much Tom, I shall try that first thing tomorrow, I'll let you know how I got on.
  14. looking for some advice please, on the ex21 there is a teardrop shaped tension lever above the blade holder, mine keeps flipping over, releasing the tension, I used a rubber band to hold it in place and assuming it was worn I ordered a new one. now this is where I need help...How on earth do you remove the old one, it looks to have a metal tube about 1.5cm long running through the casing, through the tensioning lever and into the casing again. because its flush with the casing there is nothing to grip to pull it out, I tried tapping it through with a metal bar of similar diameter, it did not budge and not wanting to cause any damage I have come to the village for help. The only reference to it I found on the internet said it was easy to change, but not how to do it, can anyone tell me how...'Please'...
  15. just completed the last of my outstanding orders so now I think I should jump on the band wagon along with some of you others and catch up with making a few Christmas ornaments.
  16. The pattern was created from a picture of Mother in laws Staffordshire Bull terrier about 12 months ago, I used rapid Resizer pattern/stencil generator and then cleaned it up, fortunately I still had it because a Staffy breeder contacted me and asked for a framed Staffy portrait. Cut from 3mm birch ply and mounted in a 7" x 5" frame.
  17. About 3 weeks ago something very rare happened...'I attempted to make a pattern, it was of three horses for a lady in Wales, here is the finished job, cut in 3mm birch ply, framed and ready to go.
  18. A different take on 3d cutting, trust me it works, I tried it, but only on soft wood, hope you like it.
  19. Half way there, another 4 to go.
  20. Great, really beautiful, well done.

My first Rudolph, not sanded yet, and the first of many, with a big thanks to Roly.
  22. I get confused Roly, is it In, over, under, off. Or knit one pearl one,
  23. Nice, I fancy having a go at the Reindeer.
  24. Yes Bob, I was the only scroller, plenty of beads, knitting and jewelry though.
  25. Just got back from a craft fair in Rugby, made a few small sales early on then almost nothing for 5 hours, a final flurry of people at the end boosted my sales so that I at least covered the cost of my stall, I will never get rich like this but the little profit I did make paid for a very nice and welcome dinner.
