  1. Great piece of work, very well cut. I would be tempted to try some colour on that.
  2. Great piece of work, well done Brenda
  3. That looks super Ray. I think it is an excellent piece. Don W PS I have never made a perfect piece of intarsia. There is always something
  4. Great work there as usual. Your boxes are always an inspiration. Don W
  5. Thanks for the comments. The only reason I asked was because I had a problem taking a picture without me showing up reflecting on the glass. I suppose the best idea would be to take a picture without the glass and find out where the recipient was going to hang it, as suggested by Bob. Don W
  6. Great cut. Leave well enough alone.
  7. Hi All, Just finished this fishing boat for a friend. Many thanks to JimErn for the design. I framed it up but think I should take the glass out. Would anyone like to comment ?? please. Don W
  8. I have folders of patterns. Some I have asked for and been given freely on this site. Many I have purchased and even many more I have collected on the way. I believe I have too many and will never get to make them all into proper finished pieces BUT I STILL COLLECT THEM. Will I never learn ???
  9. Stunning work from both of you. Well done. Don W

  15. Thanks for that, I have watched him a few times as I think I can pick up more from a video than a book. Don W

  21. Sorry to be a pain but I have been following this very interesting thread from the start. I have a Lidl scroll saw that cost around £50 and it is all I have used in my short scroll sawing career. My tensioning on this saw is a combined lever/screw arrangement and I have always used the method described by hotshot (Randy) when using/changing blades with the difference that I tighten the bottom clamp first (I am a bottom feeder) and the hold down the top arm while inserting and tightening the blade into the top clamp. My big problem is that any mention of the arm being out of sync will let the blade move back and forward while cutting ?? and how can I stop this happening ?? Can I presume that the top and bottom arms should be set parallel while setting up the saw initially ?? I really am at a loss here and will need to reread this a few times I think. Don W
  22. Awesome work, thanks for showing. Don W
  23. Hi AkJim, When I bought my wife and iPad 2 years past I also loaded a copy of 'Procreate' on it. This is an app for creating art. I also bought the Procreate extra add on features, I can't remember how much they were. I also bought a book 'MAKE GREAT ART ON YOUR iPAD by Alison Jardine. I got this in our local bookstore (The Works, reduced from £14.99 to £5.00). Other apps for drawing/painting are :- ArtRage, ArtStudio and Tayasui Sketches Pro. I have not tried any of these last 3 apps as the 'Procreate' does what I want. Hope this helps. Don W
  24. Great job Ray. Well done. Don W
