  1. Loads of fine cutting there. Well done.
  2. A great piece of work. You must use a lot of ply.
  3. I have a Brother MFC-J5910DW that prints A3 (420mm x 297mm) about 16 1/2" by 11 3/4". Usually big enough for me. Anything larger I take to the local library or the local print shop.
  4. Thanks for that Don
  5. I like these but can't see where to download them
  6. I love these. Well done. I like segmentation as I get the job done with only a little sanding and shaping.
  7. @Birchbark, Many thanks Russell for that wonderful pattern. I may make another this year and follow your design a bit more closely, also a bit closer to the pictures that started it all. I took it to the Childrens Hospice and they loved it, I also took some of the toys and ornaments left from the Christmas Fayre we had at the Mens Shed and left them to be distributed among the kids. Thanks Again. @meflick, Thanks for the link I will probably make another this year if the members of the 'Shed' feel they can find somewhere that would appreciate it, maybe an old folks home ?? Thanks again to everyone that commented, and a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year to you All. Don W
  8. Thanks everyone for your comments. A special big THANKS to Birchbark for the design and encouragement to try this. Don W
  9. Finally glue has set and we are happy with the result. Hope the kids like it. Don W
  10. Hi All, Just a quick update on the reindeer I was making for Christmas to present to the Childrens Hospice. I am taking it over on Monday morning and I hope they will be happy with it. Just some glue to set firs. take care Don W
  11. Just LOVE it. Thanks for showing Kevin, I may need to make some.
  12. The hands are being made by the Scroll Saw Squad, I hope to see the clock finished next week. The electronics were bought from an American firm and there was all sorts of taxes etc to pay to get them released from the Post Office. I will post full details here when I have had a word with the quartermaster who oversaw the purchase of parts.
  13. At last the clock is finished. It is being fine tuned with the Oscilloscope and keeps good time. Now on to another page in the book. lol Don W
  14. Fabulous setup, hope you sell loads. Don W
  15. Excellent results there. Thanks for showing. Don W
  16. Hi Ray, I have this picture that was posted by Claymore a long way back. I don't know if he is still on this forum or not but this was the first use of Corian for Intarsia that I had seen. I had used it in my pen making though.
  17. WOW you certainly made that a one off. Your friend will love it.
  18. Very well done. I think I saw that somewhere before but this is certainly a well finished piece.
  19. Very well done. If you can cover costs and get some beer money I reckon you're doing OK. Don W
  20. Great work there Kevin, as usual. Free wood is always an inspiration.
  21. The last visit to the shed showed this result. Seems to be coming along nicely.
  22. Ray, our deepest condolences to you and your family. Such a loss at such an age is truly hurtful. The pain will ease a bit but will take time. We lost our only son 5 days after his 27th birthday. This was 21 years ago but the pain is still here although slightly lessened by time. take care Don W PS Our son died from pancreatitis while on holiday on Majorca and we had issues trying to repatriate the body.
  23. Excellent boxes. Really love them. Don W
  24. I am a member of that club Kevin LOL Too many times I have showed unfinished work that disappeared into the 'Thank You' hole. LOL Don W
  25. Thanks for the advice guys, I will wait until tomorrow before repairing this piece. I will take it to the 'Shed' to show what can happen when cutting wood. I can ease the top piece open and clamp it lengthwise and the crack disappears so it should be ok when I glue it. Don W
