  1. I have to wholeheartedly agree with Ray, bottom feeder also. I tried top feeding and just couldn’t get the hang of it. I ruined a whole lot of blades trying. But…. I swing a golf club right handed and shoot left handed playing hockey. Maybe that explains why I can’t top feed. Haha!
  2. That is incredible!
  3. That is a beautiful piece tgiro!
  4. That is a cool pattern. Awesome job cutting it!
  5. Thank you
  6. Looks awesome! I have that pattern also and someday will give it a try
  7. Very beautiful! You mention the woods used, but what are the chess pieces made of ? Where is the chess piece pattern from?
  8. I use the same set up for rattle can painting and spray glue on pattern backs. I tip a box on end and then put a used furnace filter in the back. Overspray collects on the fibers of the furnace filter. Works pretty slick. A poor man’s version of a spray booth.
  9. If ya can afford it, and if ya have room for them, keep them both.
  10. I agree, great job! I think the frame looks fantastic
  11. Very nice
  12. That is really cool. Haven’t seen the movies, but have read the books

    iPad updated

Thanks for the early morning chuckle.
  14. Nice job with the airbrush! Isn't that a Steve Goode pattern?
  15. Nice present! You’ll have to keep us posted on how it works for you
  16. Very beautiful!
  17. After roughly a year of being only to use the meme’s to respond to posts, I am finally once again able to respond via typing. Apparently, if one doesn’t do updates on his iPad, he won’t be able to interact with others. I thought for sure I would have to buy a new iPad, but I had someone do a force update and it worked! And it only cost me $40.00.
  18. Wow! That is truly amazing!!! Impressive as all heck!
  19. Very nice work! I too like the faucet and the train the best. The faucet is Steve Goode correct? And who’s pattern is the train?
  20. I also built a wooden gear clock from Wooden-Gear clock. Out of Altoona Wisconsin if I’m not mistaken. I thoroughly enjoyed making it. Unfortunately, I was not able to get it to work. I was thinking of starting over and re-make it from the beginning. I would highly recommended using brass dowels instead of wood if you do decide to make one. And like Wayne said, Baltic Birch is what I would suggest
  21. Wow! All of your work is impressive. My favorites are the train, Christ, and the “old” feller with his wrists on his knees.
  22. Compound birdhouse ornaments. Glue the pieces up to get 1 1/2” thick. I think the birdhouse look really cool using different woods. plus, you can make the birds that go with the birdhouse. All my ornaments are made from scrap pieces. Also, in one of the latest issues of Scrollsaw Woodworking, they had a race car that is fun to make. Again, I use mainly 3/4” scrap when I make them.
  23. Those are really cool. I think Steve Goode hit a home run with this pattern, Fred the Reindeer, and Santa. I think he had a Mrs Claus Pattern also.
  24. Fleet Farm had the DeWalt 735 Planer on sale last week for $150.00 off. It came with the table extensions and an extra set of blades. I couldn’t pass it up. I was never really happy with my old old Delta. The DeWalt has 3 knives and gives a very nice finish. The snipe is .003, not too tough to sand off. The chip blower on the DeWalt will blow the chips from here to Kingdom Come. Definitely need a chip “collector” I do some re-sawing and the planer is a very valuable tool to have. Although you can hand plane the wood. I also think a jointer is a good tool to have. I have a Craftsman 6”. However, it is old and tired also, but for now it does the job. Based on doing mostly scrollsaw work, If I were to pick which tool, I’d go with the jointer.
