  1. That is one awesome clock! Very nice indeed!
  2. I have 2 EX-21’s. I have never bothered to look to see where they came from. But then again, I’ve never had any trouble. Both are made in Taiwan. Both saws are 6 years old, The one in question only gets used in the Spring and Fall, which is very little, compared to the other. when I got home from work today, I played with it and took the canned air to it. It seems to be working correctly. Thank you all for your help! I appreciate it!!!!
  3. T How does one go about cleaning the rheostat? And where is it? Sorry I’m kind of dumb when it comes to mechanical crap. Good question Ray! I have no idea if it’s Chinese or not. I bought it off Craig’s list 6 years ago. It maybe had 5 hours on when I bought it. How can I find out if it’s the Chinese or earlier saw?
  4. While cutting a project at about 75% speed, the saw suddenly topped out on my Excalibur. I turned the dial to its slowest speed and it seemed fine. I slowly increased the speed and all of a sudden it went to the fasted speed. Does anyone have any ideas on why and what to do.
  5. Good to see you’re back Scrappile. (Yeah… everyone calls ya Paul, but I chuckle every time I see your “handle”.)Thanks for posting the Trees of Green. I missed it when Frank posted it. That song is what my daughter picked, for us to dance to at her wedding, for the father/daughter dance. Looks like I’m gonna attempt it. It’s also really cool that you cut the tree and had it come out in one piece! Nice!!!!!
  6. Got an update on your laser Ray?
  7. Interesting! What a good idea, never would of thought of that. I agree, that piece is very impressive DakOta52!
  8. I’m a huge fan of Pirates of the Caribbean! That is dead on! Sorry, no pun intended.
  9. 60 years! Uffda! Nice piece ScrollerPete
  10. Impressive! What a cool idea.
  11. Have ya tried Kevin’s recipe of beeswax and mineral oil? It’s one of my two favorite finishes. Shiny? No. However, this finish gives a “deep” luster. Easy to apply and very forgiving. I apply it with a brush or by hand, use a hair dryer to get it in the nooks and crannies, and then hand rub the piece. I use it on all of the puzzles that I make that are not painted. An added plus, is that it is a good lotion for dry hands. (Big smile). My other favorite finish that you might want to try is Minwax Antique Oil Finish. Again, it’s not shiny, but will give a deep luster. This finish will definitely make the grain “pop”.
  12. Those are two beautiful bowls ScrollerPete!
  13. I love it! Simple, easy, and cheap. Plus, the bed of the pickup is a hell of a lot bigger than a dust collector. Hmmmm….. I wonder if my wife would let me buy a new “dust collector”.
  14. That is really cool! Your friend will like it
  15. I agree with Dave Monk and Dgman. A very easy wood to work with. However, I have never stained it.
  16. Nice haul! I really like your Tissue boxes. Gotta ask though, what’s a sky rocket?
  17. What blade did you use? This pattern will definitely be on my to do list.
  18. I’m with Joe , WOW! May I add Far out! How big is your piece? Whose pattern?
  19. Very, very nice!
  20. Kevin, if you read the very fine print in the instruction book, it says to use a metric crescent wrench when assembling table. I would venture to say you used an ASA standard crescent wrench when assembling.
  21. I love it!
  22. Wow! That is very nice. I too lie, your idea of making two.
  23. I love your attitude Paul. Good luck to you and your wife.
  24. Thanks for the info Frank. I’ll have to check the Wen out? Not to hijack your thread, I see you have the yellow tool to the left, (can’t think of it’s name). How do you like that? Also, you use the sanding mop with it!?
  25. Very nice
