  1. Very cool Denny! Brings back memories of our families table tennis team. Our logo was 3 owls perched on a branch, except one of them was hanging upside down. The name of our team? Nobody’s Perfect. That was my Dads favorite quote. Thanks Denny, the memories of back then are just wonderful
  2. Very nice! I know what you mean about finding the dark, hard to find poplar. Nice score!
  3. Wow! That is beautiful!
  4. Very cool! What are the birdhouses made of, walnut, canary wood, and Purple Heart?
  5. Black walnut bowl. Carol Rothman pattern, same book as ScrollerPete’s project. Bowl pattern is 8”x8”x3/4”. What I like about this, is there is no scrap at all, just the sawdust from the kurf of the blade, which happens to be a Pegas MGT#9. Oh and I suppose the scrap on the perimeter of the bowl. Lots of shaping/forming, (read sanding). A lot of fun to make. I plan on finishing it with shellac using the the French polish method. However, I don’t have the guts to attempt what ScrollerPete is doing. One of these days Pete, one of these days.
  6. Thanks! Now that you say it, that’s where I bought my patterns. I’ll have to take a look, haven’t been on her site for years. Again, thank you, I appreciate your help
  7. I make a lot of birdhouses also. I have many of the patterns in your picture(Sue Mey?), but you have some that are different. Curious as to where to get them.
  8. Very nice! I have a question for you. I notice that you use a lot of what I call exotic hardwoods. Being up there in the Frozen Tundra, where do you get it from, and in what sizes? By the way, it’s gonna get up to 36 degrees Fahrenheit here today. It’s a heatwave, and the sap is running in the maples. Hopefully be boiling it this weekend
  9. Looks great!

  17. Very impressive! I really like how you use colors in pieces.
  18. 1/8 Baltic birch? Even more of a wow. How did you get the fuzzies off that without breaking it?
  19. Once again, beautiful piece!
  20. Holy crap! That is awesome. You continuously amaze us with your work
  21. Wow! That is beautiful.
  22. I agree with JT. I make my wheels out of 3/8” Baltic Birch or any scrap wood that I have laying around.
