  1. Maybe ask Jeff Durham. He is a good one to "answer" for you.... I love that guy's acts...
  2. But, also include the foot print.... Hegner has a smaller footprint than the Pegas and other like saws... Now I say no more... I am a little biased... You won't be sorry with either..
  3. Don't think you can go wrong with a Pegas either,,,,, If I was buying a new saw,,,that would be my choice... and @Denny Knappen would be my dealer...
  4. Mighty fine cutting you did...
  5. Chris,,, keep in mind a hegner is bottom feed only.... not a problem for me,, fact a +. but you should know.. not a top feeder if that is your style...
  6. To take traveling... rugged, lightweight, small footprint.... did I say rugged... Hegner!! Okay, expensive,,, but maybe a used one...
  7. Welcome... Glad to have you join us...
  8. I haven't completely figured it out, but I do tend to break more spiral blades on my Hegner than my other saw. Not enough that I worry about it. I also had a gross of #3/0 FD-NS blades that I fought and fought on both my saws because no matter what I did, I would get the "hockey puck" bend on one or both ends, when mounting the blades. I started straightening the ends before mounting them, but I had never had to do that before. I finally decided there was something wrong with the blades, and ordered a new bunch... I was right.. laying the new and old blades side by side, I could see a difference. The old ones had more twists in the ends than the new ones.. The new one work like they should... So the point is, some time you can get a bad batch of blades..
  9. @FrankEV I am working on a pattern that has some long straight lines and I decided to try scoring them first using a ruler and a Xacto knife before cutting. It seemed to really help maintain a straight cut. You might give it a try, if you haven't already.
  10. You did a fantastic job of cutting this... I love the pattern and in my queue to cut. Thanks for the inspiration.
  11. There is one other rule I learned,,, what is her's is her's, what is mine is her's when speaking of money...

  22. Ha, there is a third "light box" that I would not have thought of... Guess we need more info on what @Uncle Ricky needs... Guess a fourth could be a lighted box with a scene in it that you set in a table or something... 3' x 4' would be a big one for that...
  23. Very well done...
  24. I picture a light box is a box with lights inside that you can put negatives, picture slides, drawing on to look at and do something to the... 4" deep seem pretty narrow for a lightbox to take pictures of something in... Guess we need more detail.
