  3. Yep, that is neat... I have go to try one.
  4. Hummm. I like those... they would not roll off what ever they are put on..
  5. Very well done... I would think pine would be hard to cut with any small blade, because of the grain..I have never tried cutting pine on a scroll saw..
  6. Super job cutting that picture,,, but won't your German Shepards be jealous?? I watched the cutest short video the other day of a little girl on a trampoline with the family Rottweiler. They were having a great time...
  7. Oh my, that is sad for sure. I felt like he was a friend. My sincere condolences to his family... He will really be missed on here.. Second friend today that I have heard pasted.
  8. That is a beauty!!

  11. @Buzz1953, I humbly apologies for not mentioning you the pattern maker... The last one I did this pattern, @spirithorse actually mentioned in my gallery, that Theodore 'Buzz' Buzzelli the pattern maker was a member here. I check you profile, that in back in 2015, and you had not been active for some time. I did not remember that and did not connect you as being that "Buzz". So I am really glad you are back... You have made one of my favorite patterns and one of the very few I have cut more than once. I thank you...
  12. I have received three envelopes like pictured, containing patterns, from Spain.... No damage to any of them or the patterns.. Why can't Cherry Tree do it within the USA?
  13. ever seen that one before.... Very well done and COOL!
  14. This my second cutting of this pattern... It is my favorite "Eagle" pattern. I cut it before in a piece of Black Walnut. This time it is cut in a piece of Monkey Pot I purchased from Ocooch Hardwood. It is 16" x 12.5" x .5". It is pretty wood,,, a little softer than walnut... I gave my first cutting to my best friend sometime ago and have wanted to do it again ever since. I plan on framing this one when I can find some lumber I can afford... This is a pattern is out of the SSWC magazine, in all their wisdom didn't even put it in the foldout patterns section, they put it over two pages in the mag so it is even more difficult to make a decent copy of... But well worth the effort. It is made from a painting by Carol Cavlaris, called "Spirit of the Wind. Like I say,, my favorite eagle pattern..I would love to have on the same format wit the American Bald Eagle... If I ever find the right piece of some burl wood,,, I will cut it again.
  15. You know, it seems to me that the DeWalt scroll saw has a better resale value than other saws, percentage wise to the original selling price... Well in this case they are probably asking the selling price that the saw actually sold for... But considering todays prices it they are still asking around around 2/3rds of new price. Most used saws sell for 1/2 or less of original price.. Just something I think I have noticed...

    Dad

Very well done.... I was lucky also,,, I had the best of the best parents. My dad was all work hard, play hard... He worked his three boys and he always made sure we got to play, like hunt, fish, build thing, work on our cars... He was always teaching and helping.
  17. Well done!
  18. What was that saying when I was a kid "I jumped over it and you 8 it"??? Any one but me remember that?
  19. Really very nice clean cut pieces.... Great job! Oh did she have a pattern the said "Wine Because Parenting Is Hard"!!!
  20. I use them mainly on my Hegner, but have cut with them on my Seyco... I have only used them in the 2/0 and 1 sizes. And I am kinda off beat with blades... I am one of the few that does not care much for the Modified Geometry blades... I use them rarely. Just too aggressive for me... What didn't you like about double skip? not aggressive enough?
  21. Next time you order blades, get a pack of "double skip" and see how you like them... Just a little less aggressive than the skip... I struggle with aggressive blades and I have been scrolling for a long time..
  22. Very nice piece!!
  23. Glad you are back at it.... I see no rust here at all... Very well done.
  24. Ha,,, guess I have been in my basement too long... I don't understand it...and I had never heard of Bansky. I probably should not admit that . Nice job cutting and nice piece of wood...
  25. Not local, but a nice day trip... I drove 220 miles oneway, one time to buy some marine plywood... but that was when gas was a lot cheaper... and, well, I was a lot younger also..
