  1. Well done sir... Cars are really fun to cut...
  2. Nice!!
  3. WOW!! That is beautifully AWESOME!! Great piece... I love it.
  4. That was some time back,,, all healed... still using the table saw... just smarter...
  5. I think blackwalnut and maple would be a good choice,,, You can buy it in the thickness' you will need. If you don't want it two different colors, I would go with mahogany... Great looking project... Keep us informed about your progress, please.
  6. Holy cow, Dick, you are pumping them out.... Great job!! I really envy you and your morning group of friends.... My morning group with my coffee it Ali, Abbey and sometimes Beamer the cat.... They don't drink much coffee...nor do the say much..
  7. Very well done... I have made 4 of those... Donated one to a local shooting range, two were purchased by a gentleman in New York...!
  8. It may be this next winter before I get back to the clock... I don't get a lot of scrolling done in the summer... HA,,, A couple years ago Pedro had some real health problems and his site sort of shut down.... Least he could not respond to orders and such.... When he finally got back to it,,, I ordered quite a few of his box plans and the clock... because I wanted to make sure I had them, just in case... if you know what I mean... It appears he is doing fine... Hope so. I will probably not live long enough to complete his plans that I have. But I an a patternaholic.. The last box I did, didn't make the cut to be pictured at his site... I thought I did pretty good with it,, but the picture never got posted. I love looking at the pictures of what others have done with his patterns... Always inspires me.. Like I stated,, only a few USA people....
  9. I ordered the plans to be sent by email once, this was some time ago, I just could not get them sized right...Probably because, I did not know how.... so I email Pedro and asked for hardcopies.... He sent them quickly and I have ordered them that was ever since... Have you ever had problems printing them? I think it had something to do with the plans were sized for A4 paper, I can only print 8 1/2 x 11. Just couldn't get it to work for me.... What is your standard in Canada?
  10. First thing I do when I want to do one of his plans it take it to a copy place, OfficeMax, UPS store, something like that and get several copies made.... They come on A4 size paper, or some size not typical for most home printers in the U.S.. The plans are very go. I started his Cremona Wall Clock sometime ago, then got side tracked... Need to get back to it, got most the fretwork complete. What ever you get completed.... send Pedro a picture... we need more items posted from the USA...
  11. I have several times, never had a problem... If I remember correctly, it took around two weeks for the plans to arrive... Maybe a little less.
  12. You see what I though of.... that at is because you people are not as old as me... Different priorities when you get old...
  13. Great job,,, Dick... It is a neat pattern.
  14. "Pee". Sorry, I could not resist!!
  15. Well, what can a person say....I've had a few battles with my table saw also.. One finger that is about 1/16" shorter,,,, that was a real lucky one. Pictured is my worst... from a kick back... Scraped the tendon on the middle finger... Doc said just a fraction deeper and I would not ever flip someone off with that hand again!... Hope you don't lose part of that finger... and hope you heal quickly...
  16. I have the Rigid.. I use it only for the spindle sander, that is the only reason I keep it... I have an older Craftsman belt/disk sander the I prefer much more... But the Rigid is well liked by lots of people and I have not had any problems with mine.
  17. I do not follow pro sports since they decided to be come political, but I do remember him... great job.
  18. Looks good!! I love the way you did it.
  19. I fail to see butchery, I see a very beautifully done piece... Perfect choice of wood... Well done!
  20. Yes, that is AWESOME.... not only that it is a beautiful box, but the thought and effort you put into to make it very special for her.... Now that should get you a Ribeye steak dinner with all the trimmings.... My wife wishes I was so thoughtful!
  21. WOW! that is going back some! Great job!
  22. Great job!
  23. Thank you.... that would be it...
  24. I rarely cut any kind of material like this or plexiglass, so I do not want to worry setting up for it.... Such as fluids to cool things.... Maybe oil on the cut would keep it from melting together, I don't know... But it only took a second to switch the hose to blow.... and it did the trick..
  25. I had a need to cut a piece of this white plastic like stuff that I cannot remember the name of..... It is hard to cut because it melts so easy and a little heat from the blade and it melt together solid.... I worked at it with different blade, scroll saw running as the slowest speed, and was getting no where.... I finally got a thought,,, I connected my dust collection to the blow side of my shop vac and blew on it as I was cutting... Worked great... I also moved up to a #12 Pegas MG blade,,, going the slowest speed,,, The blowing was just enough to keep it from melting..... So there you go, if you ever have to cut this stuff,,, what ever it is called.... give blowing a try....
