  1. Welcome to the forum. I helped a wood turner with a bowl once. He had me scroll the animals he put into the sides of the bowl.
  2. I use a free download called "Splitprint". I like it. I will take a pattern, crop off all the border around the actual pattern the resize it in Splitprint. There is the option to resize in inches, which I use. I have been using it for a few years now. I downloaded from the Mac Store, is or was free https://www.splitprint.com
  3. Wonderful Piece. Great scrolling and artwork.
  4. You certainly did not lose any skill while you were convalescing. Very well done.
  5. Yes but you would have to have a very tight fit of each one or they would fall out. I had some that fit tight enough, but not all.
  6. That is a great picture. Well done.
  7. @JackJones, @RabidAlien and anyone else interested This is where I purchased the pattern I used. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1867300919/lantern-00237-3mm-18inch-36mm-38mm-4mm?
  8. ooppss!
  9. I finished the four lanterns. When I showed a picture of the first one I got put together, most said they should be a light color, but the originals I saw were dark, and I liked them that way. So I stained mine. I still like the dark. They are done. stained and several coats of clear simi-gloss lacquer. Only thing left is to find some brighter LED lights to put in them.
  10. Really, Nice cut and job finishing it . The old shaggy cow is very popular. I would like to see a similar type portrait of a Lama, so have bushy tops on their heads.
  11. Very well cut and finished. I'll let others have the frame debate. It could go either way.
  12. Nice name plaque. The base looks like curly maple really lights it up.
  13. I have used 5 or 15 minute epoxy. None have failed so far. Two are still hanging on my wall, have been there for over 10 year. That reminds me I need to change those pictures, I and tired of seeing them. I have also used Paul's (the other Paul) method with the 1/8" piece of wood. Kevin, your plaques are really nice.
  14. Awesome job. He will hang that proudly!
  15. What are we going to do when he passes. Nice job and thanks for the pattern
  16. Suppose to replace a vase she broke (thank goodness she did it, not me) a while back. But it is a little too large. I am not sure what it will end up being used for.
  17. Posted this in the Steve Good Memorial thread, unfinished. Finally got it done today. The most difficult part of this project was putting it together. What a struggle! I glued the pieces that had the slots for the tabs of the uprights went into to the very top and bottom pieces before I tried assembling it. I am sure it would have been much easier had I glued the uprights to the slotted pieces prior to gluing the bottom and top pieces on,,, well duh... I was actually thinking I was going to have to cut those four pieces again to get it together. Quite a few words were said, that should not have been!
  18. Might check youtube. looked like there was some info in circuitry with mini-led lights. Would, I think, hollow out the lid some fit battery, mini switch and light in than cover it over with felt or venneer. That would be my guess.
  19. Great! are they refrig magnets? Great use of scraps. I had to look up clowder.
  20. Cute. bet the grandkids loved them.
  21. Very well done. That is nice clean cuttingl
