  2. Steve, as of yesterday is on the hospital. But I do not think he would mind, You are not selling them and you are introducing new scrollers to his site. Sunday, January 18, 2026 Health Update. Guys I have had a setback. I am back in the hospital. I have pneumonia that they are treating. I have also had a heart attack. They will do a hearth cath tomorrow. Obviously I am expecting a longer recovery with these complications. Hopefully I’ll get back on my feet at some point.
  3. Search "valentine" in his catalog, I found it on page 4
  4. Thoughts and prayers for him. This is copied from his site. Sunday, January 18, 2026 Health Update. Guys I have had a setback. I am back in the hospital. I have pneumonia that they are treating. 5. I have purchased from Cherokee Wood Products several times. I have never been disappointed.
  6. Nice work. I think I did that one for Patti a couple years ago.
  7. Nice keepsake for the young man.
  8. I agree, Run it first. I smooth and quied, why rebuild?
  9. I agree and hope the best for Steve good. I also send him a subscription payment each year, like I wood a magazine, only his site is better than a paper magazine the you have to remove and copy the patterns.
  10. Nice looking clock!
  11. I was born and raised a bottom feeder,, Kinda like a Carp.
  12. Got to an honest scout, but I cannot take credit for the 10 hour lubing. @OCtoolguy pointed that out. It is great advice, I had better do that before my next cutting.
  13. I think it makes a very pleasant, daydreaming picture. Nice piece.
  14. Do you know what model it is, how big, 14#, 18", or 22"? It looks like a single speed. Maybe add more pictures, the front, back and label. You can find out info and parts at Advanced Machinery. They are the only Hegner dealers in the U.S. Very good people to deal with.
  15. Very fancy rod holders.
  16. Nice job. The documentary "Jane" is well worth watching. Very interesting life.
  17. I think this was my favorite, because I made a total of 8 of them as sent them to family in lieu of Christmas Cards. They were very much appreciated. the second picture is from my daughter showing me where she displayed it on her fireplace hearth.
  18. Thanks for showing your experiment. I and anxious to see the outcome. I have received wood that cups and I have tried every method mentioned on youtube to flaten then. I have never succeeded. I have a beautiful piece of bloodwood that cupped. I keep hanging on to it hoping I will find a remedy.
  19. I forgot to mention what @barb.j.enders write about holding the piece on a backer or something solid on delicate pieces. I have done that also. Light touch is you put too much pressure on while sanding it can take the piece out of your hand.
  20. I have not broken anything, BUT, I have mine mounted on my little delta wood lathe and I can turn the rpm down to around 600 RPMs. I don't like sand on grinders because even the slow speed ones are turning at 1750rpm. That is way too fast for my comfort. Other us it at that speed and I have not heard any complaints. I do not apply any pressure when sanding just hold the piece to the wheel and run it over in all four directions. I have used it on some very delicate pieces with no breakage.
  21. I have had excellent luck with Weldbond glue when gluing painted surfaces together. That does not appear to be a piece that will be carried or moved around frequently. You could also drill holes throught the backer and partly through the piece, glue in tooth picks to hold it secure.
  22. HEY, the USMC one is the best looking one,,,, no doubt!!
