  1. Very nice.
  2. Turned out beautiful, Dick. How did you cut the backer?
  3. Like I said in another post, you have definitely found your niche. Another great one.
  4. Very good job.
  5. Well not my favorite subject but you did a great job on it. How did you do the teeth, they certainly look like real teeth?
  6. Good to see you hard at it Kevin. So very nice name plates.
  7. Really a super job! Your son should be very, very pleased.
  8. Another great clock and good for trying to cheer up the little fella. He will love it.
  9. Yep a rocking horse is a must. I still have the one my Dad built me when I was 2. It is over 70 years old and been ridden my cousin, my kids, my grandkids, nieces, nephews and whatever. It is still ready to rock. This is a plan I purchased years ago and very close to what my Dad built. There all kinds of rocking things here. A real cute carousel rocking horse for a little girl. Rocking whales, elephants, etc. http://www.u-bild.com/projects-childrens/056.htm
  10. So glad you can join in on the fun. Nice work on the bird. You are certainly off to a good start.
  11. Some smooth cutting. Keep at it they just keep getting better. Now someday you need to explain that avatar of yours, not how I picture an Alaskan man.
  12. Very nice.
  13. Whatever the problem with the picture, you did a great job on the clock. You would think if the smart phones are so smart they could get something as simple as picture orientation correct....
  14. No, no, it is me that thanks you. It was a great time. People, this Heppnerguy lives in a beautiful place. He has an awesome view, peaceful and quiet, great shops, yes that is right I said "shops" with an "s". It was so nice to see his wife again and meet "Country Girl" is daughter, she hasn't been on here lately unfortunately, but she is a busy lady. She is like Mom and Dad, a very nice person. Heppner is my kinda town. Small and quaint. Friendly people the care for one another. I was smiling all the way home, it was very nice. I wish my wife could have made it with me. Then Dick drops a bomb, let me know he may be moving to Arizona! I will be very sad if that happens. My first scroll saw friend, that is close enough to visit once and a while. No photos is my fault, I took my camera, it was sitting in the truck, but I got caught up chatting and forgot all about it. Part of the getting old thing. Thanks Dick, for inviting me. And now I am more in debt to you. I guess if you move on me I will not have to worry about getting even!! What a great day!
  15. I think he means the bellows that controls the air is shot. It definitely has holes in it.. You can go to the Advance Machinery site and see what a replacement costs. I have not replaced one, but I do not think it is difficult. I do not know what looks like corrosion at the from bottom of the saw is. A little concerning. This saw does not have the tension lever at the front of the upper arm, so I guess the tension is released at the back of the saw. (?) I do not know if that is a problem or not, never worked with one like that. Found the bellows https://www.advmachinery.com/products/m14-e-m2-part-number-017-bellows NOW, wait for more input from other Hegner owners. There are owners here with much more experience with them than me. I do know the Hegner takes a little getting use to, but once I became use to mine, I it has become my favorite saw. I would not trade it.
  16. Welcome to the forum. Make yourself at home. I like the work you have done.
  17. I'm wondering where you are going to spend all that royalty money! Seriously, congratulations.
  18. Welcome to the village Randi. Glad to have you move next door. The type of wood will depend on what type of scrolling you are interested in. Let us know and you will get headed in the right direction.
  19. Okay, Gonzo, I was really hoping for progress pictures. I do so want to build a clock. I down loaded patterns/instructions for a what is suppose to be an easy one (free plans). Been sitting here studying then to avoid having to polish more brass rod for the robots (the only part of making them I find boring. I can't help on you question, I know little about good finishing/staining. I will be watching this thread and learning.
  20. WOW! that is truly nice, Jim. I have got to try inlay. It actually appeals to me more than intarsia. Not sure why, both are beautiful.
  21. Gee, Roly, just want you to know I enjoyed knowing you......
  22. Very nice work.
  23. Looking great. Now you need a big hooded exhaust fan that sits above the cabinet so it sucks up the dust and blows it outside. Like they have in restaurants above the stoves....
