  1. Great pattern you created. Looks like you have fun also.
  2. Wife stopped at the Post Office today. My order was waiting. Everything A-okay. Proud owner of another gross of 3/0 spiral blades and much needed drill bits.
  3. I have got to make it to the post office. I may have my order waiting... I need the drill bits bad. I broke 4 in one piece of wood.
  4. I love the portrait of Native Americans. Done a few and have more to do. That is a very nice one and knowing the history of the individual is a real bonus. Great piece. Thanks for showing it.
  5. Welcome. You know the saying, "it takes a village to raise a scroller". This is a great place with great villagers. I'm thinking you will enhance it even more. Anxious to see some of your work.
  6. I like it!! Where did the pattern come from?
  7. How do you turn these out so fast? Another great one.
  8. Nice scrolling job. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Hummm, using scroll work to meet ladies.........you dirty dog,,,, never thought of it,,,, I guess I will keep scrolling. Hasn't impressed my lady much yet..
  10. That's what I'm talking about. Thanks for posting it. Totally awesome.
  11. Gator, I wanted to add, I think you should repost pictures of your chess set. Lot of new members have not seen it. Give them inspiration. One of these days, I am going to order the pattern. I'm a horrible chess player, but I'd love the challenge of making that set.
  12. Nice job. Is that turtle from the pattern posted here a while back? I like it.
  13. Beautifully done, Gator. Great frame to enhance it. Awesome piece of art all the way around.
  14. I'm curious what you people that sit while scrolling, sit on. I have an old. ventage '70's stool that my MIL was throwing away years ago. It works out to be the correct height for my scroll saw set up, but even with a cushion on it, is killing my posterior and back. I can only last around 20 minutes max and I have to get up and move around. I have been looking for quite a while and found nothing so far to replace it with. It needs to be 24" high at the seat level. Most office type chairs do not go that high. I am not sure if wheels are good. Seems like you would roll when you didn't want to. I don't know, would like to get ideas of what older guys like me use. I've tried standing, but that confuses my brain....
  15. well one of the next cuttings, I hope.
  16. Just wanted to show my blade storage I came up with. I had this wooden box laying around my shop for years. Originally some cheap Harbor Freight carving chisels came in it. The chisels are long gone, but I kept the box. Finally found a use for it. A few minutes work and I ended up with a holder for my blades. Spirals on one side, flat blades on the other. Drill bits and useful items in the middle. I like it!
  17. Nice. Well done, is that a pun?
  18. I love that Steve and will be searching the pattern. You did an awesome job with it. One question, I notice that you often (I think it is you) say (write) "natural stain". I am not sure what natural stain is. could you let me know? What ever it is it sure looks nice.
  19. Looks mighty fine. Very well done.
  20. Some very nice work there, Terry.
  21. I hear you, Ray. My workshop is a little bigger then that, but it got too small for more tools,,, so my bench that use to be 8' is now 4'!!
  22. I think that is one heck of a lot of work, being very well done!
  23. Congrats, you will love that saw. Some very nice cutting you are showing us here..
  24. Certainly one to be very proud of. Very well done, and it is beautiful.
  25. Sorry to hear that Mike. Why would you sell a Hawk and keep a DeWalt? Just curious. I had a DeWalt, nothing wrong with it but I bought a Excalibur 21. It is a nice saw, although I am having some problems with mine. Maybe self induced, but I will see. I owe Ray Seyco a call back to explain it some more. I don't think it is common to have problems, especially when it is not even a year old yet. I do think the Excalibur is a step up from a DeWalt. I like the tension setting and the quick release setup much better. I think the Ex runs smoother, less vibration. I do not think you will sorry if you buy an Excalibur. The table tilting verses the arm tilting doesn't matter to me, I have yet to saw something where I will care. Maybe some day, but I think either way works fine. However, if you can afford it or figure our a way to do it, bypass the Ex and move right on up to a Hegner or Hawk. ... You know you will want to......
