Nice scrolling! My advice to us that love the spirals, would be keep practicing with the flat blades also. I have had some occasions lately where a flat blade is needed, and find I really struggle with them.

Really a nice bowl. I was given some oak flooring a couple years ago. I've used it in many projects.

I notice Wodden Teddy Bear also sells some Mike Williams and Charles Dearing Patterns. However, WTB doesn't send then via email. Prefer to get them in files, then I can size and print at home plus you are not paying shipping. I don't know if it is any cheaper to print at home as opposed to having them copied somewhere, with the price of ink for a printer.

I love the portrait of Native Americans. Done a few and have more to do. That is a very nice one and knowing the history of the individual is a real bonus. Great piece. Thanks for showing it.

Gator, I wanted to add, I think you should repost pictures of your chess set. Lot of new members have not seen it. Give them inspiration. One of these days, I am going to order the pattern. I'm a horrible chess player, but I'd love the challenge of making that set.

I'm curious what you people that sit while scrolling, sit on. I have an old. ventage '70's stool that my MIL was throwing away years ago. It works out to be the correct height for my scroll saw set up, but even with a cushion on it, is killing my posterior and back. I can only last around 20 minutes max and I have to get up and move around. I have been looking for quite a while and found nothing so far to replace it with. It needs to be 24" high at the seat level. Most office type chairs do not go that high. I am not sure if wheels are good. Seems like you would roll when you didn't want to. I don't know, would like to get ideas of what older guys like me use. I've tried standing, but that confuses my brain....

Just wanted to show my blade storage I came up with. I had this wooden box laying around my shop for years. Originally some cheap Harbor Freight carving chisels came in it. The chisels are long gone, but I kept the box. Finally found a use for it. A few minutes work and I ended up with a holder for my blades. Spirals on one side, flat blades on the other. Drill bits and useful items in the middle. I like it!

I love that Steve and will be searching the pattern. You did an awesome job with it. One question, I notice that you often (I think it is you) say (write) "natural stain". I am not sure what natural stain is. could you let me know? What ever it is it sure looks nice.
